You know, when Aether pats Lumine's head, it's so cute, like an older brother comforting his little sister for something she couldn't understand.

The thing is, that gesture just felt weird coming from Lumine. Headpats usually come from someone either older than you or taller than you as a sign of affection. Lumine is canonically the younger twin and is obviously shorter than Aether.
@@Relic58 Thing is the Abyss Twin and Traveller twin is 500 years apart in Teyvat's time, so even if Aether was older to Lumine, he was asleep 500 years so his consciousness was also stunted

Even though I chose Aether as my traveler, him as the abyss twin is weirdly fitting. The way Zach (his va) portrays him is so befitting of a distant yet caring older brother.
Not the first time Zach voices an older caring brother (ex: Nier from Nier Replicant) and it's no wonder he voices another one, his portrayal just fits that role naturally.
I usually prefer Lumine as the abyss twin but this quest made me seriously rethink it hard. The voice acting throughout the whole thing was amazing
I appreciate you saying that. I like going on both versions because I like to appreciate the vas at work they portray each role so differently its interesting. And usually aether mc people are just in the comments screeching about how "aether is cannon mc" calling lumine trash and bland as mc and how obviously better suited she was to be the abyss twin because she's "cold". But I personally hate that reasoning this is your twin sibling that has been missing for 500 years for the portrail to being more anti hero instead of straight up villian there needs to be some emotion and it just feels weird for in a place where no one is watching them to act like you are talking to a stranger as the abyss twin.

I compared both, i regret not playing Aether but in the end, at least for this cutsene, i though Lumine did a better performance as the traveler and Aether as the abyss twin
@dragonsreingsupreme1 THIS. As a Lumine main, I think both Lumine and Aether can fit well in both of the roles, what changes is the way people interpret them. Traveler Lumine can also be as goofy and cute as Aether, but I'll never understand why Aether players have such a hate boner for her, it's honestly so weird.

4:35 Fun fact: in the Aether as a Traveler version, these 2 dolls switched placed as Caribert dolls is the one sitting on the left. So pretty sure Hoyo hints that these 2 dolls represent the Siblings rather than Attosa and Caribert.

I hate Hoyo-verse for making Lumine forget everything that happened, but, Im really glad we got a photo of them together after. To be honest, I feel so much invisible love for Aether (as Lumine) that it's not even funny. I want them to reunite so badly... we don't realize it but the Traveler and Abyss-twin have gone through so much mentally.

Lemme guess, they’ve just introduced the 5 sinners and the power of loom of fate. Caribert, a hilichurl, was introduced last region during 3.5. And was revealed that hilichurls are confirmed to be khaenrians during halfdan quest at 2.6. And b4 that, abyss working on loom of fate using field-tiller’s eye and venti’s statue were introduced ard 1.5.
So I guess, we’ll meet either one of the sinners in the next post-natlan’s Traveler quest. Maybe Rhinedottir (pls hoyo, let us see Albedo’s mom)?? 2nd guess would be Dain’s brother or perhaps Surtalogi. We don’t know much abt the other 2 so far.

Aether sounds so tired as an Abyss, like he just wants to put an end to Celestia's doing while Lumine sounds resentful, vengeful to Celestia.
For travelers, As Aether he does sound, to me, frustrated but determined to find her sister. He has so much longing and wanting to be with his sister again. Lumine being the MC feels like she's exploring the world and feels lonely, it feels like she's trying to find her brother and understand him but she still has a long way to go to get on the same level as him.
I love how the Voice Actors make me interpret their characters like this, it just means they're really good at what they do! The emotions they put into this scenes are no joke!

I can't tell you how much this made me cry. I always felt that hoyoverse staved us of scenes of them together because they were just being unfair (even thought I knew it was for the lore too). But this scene made it so much more impactful (pun intended) because that's how the traveller feels, all this time, never seeing their twin, that's what's really unfair. We, like the traveller want to see more of them together, but that fact that it's unfair just elaborates how traveller feels about their lost twin.
And we even got an explanation about the twin.
Although I'll admit.

The fact that Aether after 500 years of training is still weaker than Dainslef. Meaning that we as a Traveler was never meant to fight the Heavenly Principle head on as we are never too OP for a solo fight. Which mean that all along, the Abyss Order and the Fatui were our build up comrades, at the end game, we will probably be siding with both of these organization to beat up Heavenly Principle as a common enemy. All of these Dainslef quests and Harbinger quests have always been pointing up at that one single fact, that they were the bad guys only because they wanted power to avenge the Heavenly Principles, even though their means was unjust (sacrificing the few to save the many), it was the only way they could know of having the slightest hope of beating the Heavenly Principles.

"you told me you wanted to find a place in the universe where that one flower is in full bloom" could mean this flower is universal but it doesn't have full bloom everywhere and they found the bloomed one in tevyat ...and they wanted to find a place with that flower probably because this flower is a reminder of their fallen homeland because this flower is also worn by lumine and claims its from her homeland..i feel like they have been travelling universe to find a place with such flower so they can feel like home with the familiarity
@@mizel.i yeah, I think it's the same place, and maybe it's a flower that exists everywhere but only blooms in khaenriah, so that's why the Abyss twin is so attached to that country, like there's some personal significance to them, like a long lost homeland or something.

Aether's tender and warm voice doesn't really fit to the Abyss twin. Lumine always sounds harder and colder and more fitting as the Abyss twin.

Might just drop this goddamn game. Mihoyers are ALLERGIC to making actually meaningful character conflicts and emotional drama. Kaeya and Diluc are just a little bit snappy with each other but otherwise totally cool with spending time together, Kazuha cares very little about his friends death and his clans decline, Collie went through horrible abuse and was terminally ill through most of her life and it NEVER comes us whenever she is around, recently we have discovered that Cyno and Sethos were friends but forgot each other due to experiments that were conducted on them in childhood... And it is said THROUGH THE DAMN CHARACTER STORY. And I have to ask you, DID IT MATTER? EMOTIONALLY? TO THE CHARACTERS???

I’m glad Genshin fans are starting to see what I’ve seen about the writing since the beginning. The writing is actually terrible.
And people go on and on about how the gameplay isn’t the focus of the game but the story. And that story is the point of playing the game. But the story never goes anywhere, and yapping is so bloated.
@@UltimateGenosyko I was lured into the game by the promises of "good story" and "interesting characters". And I haven't seen any of this, at all. It was always "wait until you see THIS quest/character, this will Blow Your Mind" and I did the quest and seen the character and it turned out to be all hot airs. A nothing pizza with the side of spiceless waifus, if you will. I've done all AQ, almost all SQs and WQ and haven't seen anything resembling good writing. Nothing. Nada.
And like. You gotta agree that UA-cam theorists make the game sound deep af. And the concepts of characters are... mooostly interesting too, with some exeptions! Albedo, Kaeya and Dain sound metal af if you describe them to somebody else. Oooh the curses, the secrets, the betrayals, the truth of the world! And in the game they barely appear and when they DO appear it's made to be as bland and hollow as possible. The cool concepts just stay at this half-formed stage, frozen in time, never to be developed further.
Same with other characters and plot points.

I think if you really read hard into the subtext in some throw away lines you could extrapolate some deeper meaning if you squint and cross your eyes hard enough. But I think none of that writing was intended to be nothing but surface level. I think all this deep lore that theorists and stuff come up with is honestly nothing but projection. They’re giving the writers way too much credit. The point of the stories in the game is just tools to get you to whale on the next rate up character, that’s it.
I think the first time ive ever felt anything for these characters is in Fontaine which says alot since its been 4 years💀. Furina and navia are the only ones ive seen have ANY real sadness and deep feelings

Im sorry if Im being dumb, but did Aether give us an actual reason why we cant travel together? I didnt really understand the answer with the sea of flowers tbh.
I mean I know that that is the same place as shown in the Teyvat trailer and that it is no coincidence, if he finds it after his sister talked about it during their journey together, but how does that connect with not being able to face her?
I'm pretty sure the reason is still the same as in the first interlude. Lumine needs to travel the world and discover for herself which side she wants to fight for, Aether doesn't want to force her onto his side. The flower thing is probably just an explanation on why he wants to fight for this world so badly.
Also, the only reason Aether actually spoke to his sister here is because he knew neither of them would remember it. He could only be open to her and act like this because of it.
For my point of view, his hesitation to traveling together is more of a portective love, you know? His sister wasn´t awake when everything happenend, so she doesn´t know or are involved in the same war he is, maybe for Aether is safer for her to be left wandering and creating conections than be involved in a war they can, very much, lose in the end.
