Appreciate the time you put into these videos. It really helps us in this small but rapidly growing sim community. Water and lighting are next level. Impressive but not sure the overall package is enough to move away from GSPRO especially when considering the price points between the two.
Yeah I would say water and lighting is a highlight for sure. Software will always be personal preference. But, I would be lying if I said many people I talk to don’t have multiple software. I would almost expect people to have both based on many I talk to. Gspro is solid and Apex will continue to develop and it will be fun to see where they all are even in the next year!
E6 Apex seems to be out now for a whole range of launch monitors. Are you planning on doing some videos soon with other launch monitors including cheaper LMs like the Square? It would also be good to see the quality of some of the on demand courses.

Hi Jay, do you know if there is as setting to change the color of the ball tracer? The light blue gets lost in the sky background sometimes and would be nice to change to red like E6 Connect. Maybe some feedback for them. Thanks!
Hi Jay. Has Apex added in the ability to offset the ball on the screen due to NOT having a wide enough room and needing to tee off center of middle of the screen? I've used E6 and GSPRO and both have the ability. Thx
Hey Jay. It looks like the total shots is combined E6 connect and Apex. I just looked at the data in the portal and it gives the combined total but separates it so you can see what shots were in what software.
Awesome video! Been waiting to see the quality of the on demand courses. Looks like they’re pretty highly rendered at least. I don’t need the courses to be 100% accurate as far as a tree here or there to be happy playing every course in my area. Do you know if they’re still going to charge the big upfront license fee for the software and then the sub fee on top for Uneekor? It would be nice if it were just like $300 or $600 a year total for a sub with no huge upfront license fee. If you wanna try a great course, try loading up Lake of Isles North in Connecticut. Hole 2 should be amazing if rendered decent anyway.

Do you know what the plan is moving forward with the courses? I downloaded Apex. The premium courses are very nice. The on demand courses from what I saw so far are not great. I hope they improve on them especially compared to other software. Are we going to have to pay more for any new premium courses as they come out?
They are going to develop more premium as soon as possible, sounds like many are already in the works. I agree that the premium courses are clearly superior to the on demand, but that was the intention. On demand to give a massive library with good graphics, then premium are custom made with much better detail and graphics.
Yeah I could probably do that easily. I guess I just always like focuses on one at a time and allowing everyone to see each one in full. Also easy to split screen the UA-cam videos :-P I’ll see if I can slate some of those in the schedule.
You could just leave the ocean hole on with should, those are lounge chair in your sim and hang out by the beach all day. Lol Looks nice. Hopefully Uneekor comes out soon. Wonder how online and league play will work as that is so big on other sims like GSPro and even the old TGC. E6 had awful online leagues at least when I played them. Looks like this might attract people back.

In the process of building a golf simulator in my 16*24*10 ft pole barn. Going to be using the eye xo. Wondering what matt you use and if you recommend it or have something else ud recommend. Looking for a quality matt.

With Augusta being an exception not many so perfectly green plush grass haha :) Most interesting part is time year, what would be REALLY NEXT LEVEL is if someone could let you change the season from spring, summer, fall and it would adjust tree leaves, grass color etc. That would be pretty cool!
Question: can I play this with a swing type mouse or a controller like EA Golf or PGA 2k23? It would be awesome. If not, why don't they add that ability? It would open up their market greatly.

Looks great but after experiencing so many issues with their tech support on E6 and the price gouging for old courses I'll stick with GSPro. Once GSpro upgrades the engine we'll get the same with 1200 courses. Great option for Commercial users though.
Everyone always has their personal preference. GSPro is a nice software for sure. I do think they will both stand apart though on look & feel from what I have seen, mainly due to totally different graphics engines. Excited to see all of the various software continue to evolve!

Then improve only, so ranges, club fitting, and bag mapping including the challenges and coaching videos, that would be only $150 per year. Then if you want it all $450 per year. No more course bundles.

Do you know if the calculation for terrain penalty has changed at all? That and the number of courses are why I pay for GSPro and don't even have my e6 courses installed despite the fact that they came free with my Mevo+. From what I remember, it's just a straight percentage (eg; I think it penalized you 7% of your power for a fairway bunker, and that was it; made fairway bunkers almost not a concern) change depending on what your lie is in E6, and GSPro has more factors that go in to different lies for their calculation. If this graphics improvement comes with a likewise improvement on those terrain penalty physics then I might need to install E6 again and try it out before my basic subscription I bought with my Mevo runs out.
I will say this, I like the penalty system on GSPro, but I would rather see what my power and spin reduction is. I can tell what my lie looks like outdoors and have a very good idea of what the outcome will be most of the time, why practice by guessing indoors? Just my two cents lol :)

I'd even be happy with it if it gave you a bit of a range, but still told you, like maybe it's a bit of a rough like and it says there's a 5-10% penalty in play allowing them to keep their element of "random" that some of their users prefer intact. All of this software can be improved, and I will say the improvements to the graphics and the features included in Apex look worth the look, especially figuring as I paid for the E6 subscription in May. The computer I use for simulation has a 1TB hard drive though and I've pretty much filled it with GSPro courses as it is, which is why I ask about the gameplay, because if Apex is an improvement over Connect in that regard (even if it's not the same as GSPro) I'll feel like it warrants more of a look at re-evaluation and it might even change my mind as to which I keep subscribing to going forward next summer.

When is the official release? I downloaded it now with skytrak and just practice mode. Also i currently have the 300.dollar sub. Will that get me all courses?
I discussed this in the video. Slated for next week. The $300 basic e6 subscription will keep e6 connect and give you apex practice with bag mapping, fitting, ranges and challenges but no course play. Course play is $300 apex only course play, $450 for apex practice, fitting, bag mapping, challenges and course play, or you can do full apex and e6 connect for $600. It’s a little confusing, but it gives a lower entry level for practice only on Apex and also Apex courses only.

@ I would think they would, it’s the same dollar amount. But you would lose your e6 connect. You can also switch to the $450 full apex or $600 for all apex and all e6 connect.

The new E6 looks incredible. Is it much harder to run than the old E6?
Is there a setting to have putts "play the break?" The prior version of E6 would allow that.

Graphics sure are looking good and in fact look very similar to Trackman VG3 in my opinion. Not sure about the ball physics though

No, this is for Golf Launch Monitors. Not sure if they will add any features like that.

You can easily delete courses on GS pro. I rarely have more than 40 downloaded.

Which graphics would you say look better? VG3 vs APEX?

I was told Play suite, so courses only no ranges, club fitting, or bag mapping but you have on course practice that is $300 per year subscription. Then improve only, so ranges, club fitting, and bag mapping including the challenges and coaching videos, that would be only $150 per year. Then if you want it all $450 per year. No more course bundles.

No, not at all. They are saying RTX 3060 or better! But that’s minimum.
When is the official release? I downloaded it now with skytrak and just practice mode. Also i currently have the 300.dollar sub. Will that get me all courses?
I discussed this in the video. Slated for next week. The $300 basic e6 subscription will keep e6 connect and give you apex practice with bag mapping, fitting, ranges and challenges but no course play. Course play is $300 apex only course play, $450 for apex practice, fitting, bag mapping, challenges and course play, or you can do full apex and e6 connect for $600. It’s a little confusing, but it gives a lower entry level for practice only on Apex and also Apex courses only.

@ I would think they would, it’s the same dollar amount. But you would lose your e6 connect. You can also switch to the $450 full apex or $600 for all apex and all e6 connect.

@@GolfSimulatorVideos I spoke with e6 today and they led me to believe that I would have to purchase a Standard License ($2500) before I could purchase a subscription to any variation of e6 while using Uneekor. Has that been your experience? I have a Garmin and didn’t have to purchase any kind of license before purchasing a course subscription?
@ I was told that those special licenses are no longer with Apex. Might just not be in effect yet since not released?

@ just verified with them, no special license needed. They probably just haven’t announced it to everyone that does support. I’m sure it will all be cleared up by the time It’s released to the public.
