I was able to do it without messing with any fuses (2019 RS5). Thought I was doing it wrong which is why I used your video, didn't realize I had to hold both at same time..
Well I wasted an hour with Audi's on screen instructions, following your video it worked without even removing the fuse. I just held down the button I wanted as I pressed the door remote and it finally linked up and worked after that. I did do two double button pushes for the synchronization as well. Cheers mate, that was starting to get frustrating.
2019 S4 here,, didn’t believe you had to pull the fuse to get it to work but after a few unsuccessful tries following mmi instructions, i popped the fuse and it connected first try. Thanks for the vid 👍🏾
Thanks for this video. We just moved to a house with older, Liftmaster openers, and I couldn’t get my 2018 SQ5 to recognize the signal from the remote(s). Pulling the side assist fuse was the key, and the location of that fuse in the cargo area fuse box was detailed in the owners manual.
I was able to get the HomeLink programming to work on my 2019 A5 by going into the Driver Assistance menu and turning the side sense off. Doing this worked on the first try and I was able to avoid pulling the fuse!
Thank you so much for posting this. I wasted 45 minutes following the regular instructions and was considering returning my newly purchased B9 A4 for a Lexus due to this glaring issue VW/Audi engineers missed. After I pulled the fuse, I was able to sync up right away. I still had to had to go through the "extra" steps since my garage door opener apparently leverages rolling codes instead of fixed but luckily I was able to reach the "learn" button without a ladder and get back into the car before it timed out.
I didn't have to pull the fuse, and it still worked. I had tried about month ago and my garage door motor started smoking (different video) So I stopped until i saw this one. Thank you for posting this helpful video
Worked on my '19 SQ5, thank you. Kinda had to guess which fuse to pull but got it right first time as the layout wasn't the same. For me it was in the Yellow block, same as yours, but adjacent to a 25 amp fuse, and by itself as the only 5 amp (save for two 5 amps that were together) After that, easy peasy.
I just purchased a 2021 Audi Q5 and I have no buttons for a garage door opener. I have to go all thru where I have set up and name but no place for a opener?? How would I do that???
@@chthan3o3 Is there a website I could purchase this? or is this a combination of different companies? As I see the different names within your video. PS: Thanks for the tip on how to program the garage door on my B9, by the way.
@@Kiss__Kiss these are w different products. The Axmotiv clip came with a smaller magnet (before MagSafe iPhones came out), so I removed it for a larger magnet from Nite Ize when I upgraded my phone. The Axmotiv product was discontinued. There should be off brand clips on Amazon similar to what I have that is specific to the A4, A5, S4, S5
I can get to the program door button but then once I push it it asks for a search word and I am not offered program button options 1,2, or 3. I have removed the fuse each time too
I'm just giddy with joy- this worked for me! Glad I looked down in the comments to know where the fuze is- in the trunk behind left side panel

Your an absolute life saver omg this fixed my problem instantly, couldn't get it to work till I pulled the fuse.
I want to thank you for this video! I was getting pretty frustrated with programming my S4, your video worked perfectly.

Worked for me on 2019 sq5. Thanks man!! Pulled fuse and then one door needed additional learn button action but other one just worked.
did you have the same issue with it not opening but closing fine when the clicker in the car was pressed
@@RNYEVlogzbefore pulling the fuse the car buttons just refused to program at all.

Was this your cargo area fuse box?
I don't know why this works, but it does. It's magic! 2019 Audi A5.
I’m the same one, gonna try this back home.
you are the best, I tried everything on utube and the manual. you are the best, worked perfect
THANK YOU!! This was driving me nuts. Once I pulled the fuse it worked immediately.
I’ve been trying this shit for 30 minutes and it worked after I watched ur video!
You sir, are a genius. I spent at least an hour trying the “normal” instructions, and another two doing research before finding your video. Thank you!
Thanks man… great vid
This video saved me from insanity lol. Thank you for figuring this out!
Super helpful, thanks!
Confirming that this works for 2019 A5 premium coupe. Thanks!
This worked like a charm, thank you
Is it wrong to say I love you man!! Thank You!!!!
Worked wonders - thanks man!
Where is this fuse box to open? Would be nice to show this step too in the video :)
Can you explain please?
Thx and greetings from germany

This video just saved my life........how did you EVER know to pull the BlindSpot fuse ??

This didn’t work for me
Dude that worked perfectly, thank you!!
This worked but now the check engine light is on, even after putting the fuse back. Any suggestions?
Everyone just skip 1:20
what wheels do you have? they are sick
Vorsteiner VFF107
Hell yea it worked on a 2019 q5
@ 1:02 What type of phone mount is that?
Axmotiv phone holder with a Nite Ize Steelie Orbiter Plus to accommodate newer iPhones that have MagSafe

Can you do a wireless car play video? Seen it on ecs and I’m really thinking on doing it
This is the fix. Going to try it on an Alfa Romeo
it’s literally the most frustrating thing ever. I got it to close the garage door but I can’t get it to open lmao any ideas
I can get to the program door button but then once I push it it asks for a search word and I am not offered program button options 1,2, or 3. I have removed the fuse each time too
I had mine programmed but had to reset all my garage remotes and it’s giving me trouble like it did back when I first got my b9
This worked thank you so much lol
My car does not have this fuse or the one under it
I have a 2018 A4 and it didnt' work?
What alloys are you running?
those wheels are amazing! are those 19 inches?
20x10
How long do I hold each button? I keep getting an error occurred during programming
Did it resolve, can you please help?
Why did you take out the fuse?
Blind spot/lane change assist radar in the rear of the car interferes with the Homelink signal preventing you from programming properly
@@chthan3o3 this is crazy. And thanks in advance. Had the dealer’s guy stumped today 😂
Where's the fuse box?
Inside the trunk, inside cubby door on left side
Craftsman garage door reset
What’s with the thumbnail?
Mine programs then it freaking forgets it like 2 weeks later lol
Lol, can’t understand why Audi can’t make it simple. Mine remembers thankfully
