What a brilliant and simple Christmas idea. Loving the fact the wall is not damaged at the end of it. A simple design that produces a wonderful result.
I love this. I knew I didn't have to put up a tree and could use my lights to create a tree inside and found your video. Thanks so much. I only had to buy the hooks.
I bought some rose flower and butterfly led light for my kids room now I got idea how to fix them on the wall 😍 I'll use clear plastic huks ... Inexpensive and easy to do 👍Thank Tara 😊
Hi Tina - thanks for your comment! It's a fun alternative to a Christmas tree - hopefully a little more affordable than lots of decorations for the tree! Merry Christmas :)
There are 34 hooks in total. -The 2 Medium Hooks at the top -11 Mini Hooks that are the base of the triangle -21 Decorating Hooks -9 that make up the "Trunk". -2 at the ends of the base of '11 Medium Hooks'. -5 on each side of the Tree connecting the Base to the 2 Mediums at the top.
Pretty. I'm looking for the simple "green" tree i saw on commercial, zig zagged branches. I don't know how many hooks i will need. I bet Home Depot has been asked this questions zillions of times by now..lol... I don't want ornaments with hooks falling, since I have cats. Thx for sharing
The number of hooks required will depend on how long the lights strand is......... You can consider buying the Command Decorating Clip which contains 20 clips which is able for a smaller tree or 2 packs for a larger tree.
Hi there, Thanks for your enquiry. There is a good range of Command products available in Bunnings, Kmart, Officeworks, Coles, Spotlight, and more stores throughout Australia. However, If you would like any more information on where to purchase these products, we would recommend contacting 3M directly.
Saw this on FB. Was going to do it till I looked up the prices. Would be about $30 for just the hooks & about $20 for the lights. $50 for a xmas tree on a wall for 1yr because the hooks aren't reusable, no thanks.
Look out for Command VP or Value Packs in stores and for Command Clear Replacement Strips to reuse Command hooks. For that tree we used about 35 clips. That's two packs of Command Decorating Clip 20pk which in total will be about $15. You can purchase that variety from leading supermarkets.
Hi. Thanks for your comment. When applied and removed correctly, the Command hooks come off the wall cleanly. If you're having trouble, make sure to pull the tab straight down and not at an angle. For any more issues with Command hooks, please contact 3M Customer Service on 136 136
The best measurements for you really depend on your space and how large you want to make the tree. Grab a ruler and measure your wall. You should be able to work out the size for your tree that way. If you make one be sure to share it on my Facebook page! I'd love to see it. facebook.com/TaraDennisHome
Hi Azia. Thanks for your comment. The lights were purchased when this video was first produced, around 4 years ago. However, you can buy similar lights at stores such as Bunnings, Kmart and Target.

I think it’s more likely a space saving thing rather than a money saving thing. No way in hell I’d do it because the idea of spending $50 on ANY tree horrifies me (I get $5 Kmart one 90cm tall and sits on top of the stereo lol) but I’d totally do a cheaper version to save space if I wanted something big

azia sanam, 🐘🐘🐘🐘
I tried and it was not a good idea just a waste of money, the hooks fell off the wall. the lights are to heavy for the hooks!!!
keepinitroots -Your supposed to wait an hour b4 hanging anything from the hooks
super

30 hooks? Wow that could be pricey. Might be cheaper to buy a real tree or just string lights around railings or fake ficus trees at home.
