Nice. Smart move adding some emphasis about the dangers of the winch cat cable when in operation! I have heard of a couple of close calls.
Super interesting. I was wondering when I'd see something about what goes on with the cats. Great work!
In n. Idaho i lived about 10 miles away from a ski resort. Late winter nights id watch the bright lights going back and forth. Something about it being really late on a lonely mountain made it fun to observe.
Pretty cool!
how long are the blades on the rotor ?? how deep will they churn the snow ?? is the height and depth adjustable ?? same for the tiller .. can the size of the corduroy be adjusted ?? thanks !!
The cutter bar is adjustable you can pull the cutter bar all the way out and just barley skim the top or you can bury it and it will probably be cutting about a foot of snow. The setting go from 0-6 for cutter bar depth. The teeth on the bar are about 6-8 inches and staggered across the bar. As for the corduroy that can not be adjusted. There are mats on the back of the tiller with a bunch of cone shapes so the only way to change the cord would be switch the machine your in. Prinoth leaves a different pass or finish than Pisten Bully does. Hope that answers your questions.
5000 tons of force???? Nope
My autistic neighbor Toby loves snowcats. I will share this video with him.
