I'm glad the game is coming to modern consoles! The AI upscaling on the Opening Movie is rather poor, though...... 😞 It's a simple opening, so why not just remake it with the same new HD assets from the game itself?
@@BalmungHH0 Maybe you're not looking at the full 1080p screenshot? I had to use inspect element to get a link to the screenshots. And you should look at a CG so it's easier to see. It's probably not the same upscaler as this trailer, but the artifacts are incredibly visible.
@@malucart Oh of course, the CG's have artifacts because the original artwork was already low resolution and it's just been blown up for bigger screens. That's not a sign of AI-upscaling. It's not a perfect look, but it's preferable to something like this Opening video where things end up looking all smudgy and messes with the line art.

Curved edges are stairy but slightly sharpened, there is a strong halo around edges, the dithering is sometimes misinterpreted as random lines, the sprites' outlines have outlines themselves. The TV antenna looks like it's impossibly behind the window and there is a weird line on the TV screen, examples of the AI misunderstanding the line art. If it were like you said, they would be blurry, not smudged and incorrect like this. Also, MAGES has already done this constantly, like with the Memories Off remasters, this is nothing new.
