- This could very well be my favourite solo, its one I heard when I was a kid in primary school, and ive always loved it, some solos just stick with you, I just like the vibe and the phrasing. Plus Ian Moss just freakin rules.
Well they only had 5 studio albums( Cold Chisel, Breafast at sweethearts, East, Circus Animal, 20th century), plus 2 newer ones in the 90's, (Teenage Love, Last Wave of Summer) all are pretty darn good. Circus Animals is my favourite. The live Swingshift cd is great too, as is The Barking Spiders live, AWESOME!
I learnt all these Moss solos by ear, the hard way!! I was so desperate to learn this stuff when I was younger, I didnt want to only play the stuff I had tabs for, and so much Aussie stuff has no tabs, no choice but to sit down and figure it out slowly. I remember writing a letter to Ian Moss when I was a teenager just starting out, and I asked him if any tabs were coming out, he hadnt seen tabs before! Much to be learnt by sitting down and really working out these types of solos for yourself!!
Yep ive got the vinyl 12" single of Mr Rain, the dummy is great!!!!!
Congratulations, great tone!
I'm just another Music Man fan.

Hey Rob. Have you heard the b-side to this song? It's a song called 'The Dummy' and was recorded by Chisel on 1979 - some of Mossy's best work I reckon.
Yep Knockin is a great cover!I wish I had of seen them live back in the early 80's, I was only little too! Best thing is just to get all their cd's, they all have MOSS MAGIC!
Mad you play it good cheers
Tabs ?? .. ya nail it mate!! 👊🏻🍻
