    Frankly if you were camping at the same place I was camping I wouldn’t mind having you inspect my coach just so I would know where the problems are if any!

      Thats actually a great idea!!! Just having an inspector come out and basically conduct a wellness check on the RV.

    Hi Deb! Thanks for the information. We are Michiganders as well! Quick question - are you able to update your location on the NRVIA website often? Ideally, every time we move to a new location (about once a month) we would want to update our service area.

    • @debsrvservices
      @debsrvservices  2 місяці тому

      Yes you can move your pin as much as you want. You also have 3 locations for your pin. Thank you for watching and nice to meet another Michigander!!😊

    Great video. I have an RV and have been RVing for 24 years. I have had the travel trailers, %th wheels and class A motorhomes. I live in the Phoenix area go camping usually about once a month or two for 1 week. besides camping I am home all the time, I'm retired and just looking for something to supplement my social security and get out of the house : ). What do RV inspectors charge for a RV inspection? is it by the length or class of RV? I just had an RV inspector at my house to inspect my 5th wheel for an extended warranty coverage. I don't think he was here more than 30 minutes just to check and make sure all the appliances worked and took lots of pictures. I have already attended the NRVTA fundamental class, inspection class yet. I'm wonder if I spend a few thousand of dollar for the NRVTA Inspection class hoe long would it take me for return of my investment? What would I charge for a basic inspect as oppose to a full blow inspection? I'm trying to get a ball park on how much I would male per call?

      The cost depends on year make and model. Anywhere from $700-1400. Work depends too. Time of year and where you are located make a difference. Making your investment back should happen in the first year. Sometimes I have 3 inspections a week and sometimes none. If you stay in one location you are more likely to get more work. I’m releasing another inspection video today. Been trying to upload it for 10 hours now 🤣

    Where are the school for inspectors. Do you know any in Florida? PS: My husband has 40 years of construction experience both in building and roofing.

      This school is in Texas at the NRVTA. I’m sure there are schools in Florida but I’m not sure of what they are or the type of education they provide. Thanks!

    I suspect that with all the current weather events that more and more people will be buying used RV's as either an alternative to a house or temporary shelter while their house is rebuilt.
    Unfortunately RV's aren't built like a house so their expectations should be interesting to see what current RV manufactures do to meet those demands.
    I think we'll see them claim bankruptcy closures along with lots of lawsuits.
    We see huge disappointments in quality control at the factory and dealerships along with extreme wait times for repairs.
    Keep your eye's open for the flood victim RV's, water damage on the frames and undercarriage's.. These next few years are going to be rough.

      I agree Mike! My friend Liz Amazing has been doing some good UA-cam videos on the quality of RV’s. I hope this can drive change with manufacturers in how they build RV’s. It really is unfortunate what people may go through with devastations in weather or bankruptcies. Lots of changes and I will be watching for any of those RV’s during my inspections. Thanks!

    Thank you for the Video!
    I appreciate the honesty. I’ve been considering going back on the road and getting my cert. for RV tech, I have a background as an auto tech, but wasn’t sure if I’d be able to make ends meet which is initially why I left the road. I guess I’ll have to ponder my options.
    Much appreciation. 💖

    Excellent video Deb! I found myself nodding when you talked about how important pictures are. I attended an open house recently, and the home had been 'pre-inspected.' The summary report was sitting on the kitchen table and so I picked it up. The inspector had a cartoon avatar as his 'professional' photo. Needless to say, that didn't instill a whole lot of confidence in the inspector. I remember years ago when I was preparing for a job interview, my Uncle said, 'Remember, you never get a second chance to make a first impression." This wisdom still holds true today.

    • @debsrvservices
      @debsrvservices  Рік тому +2

      So true! First impression is so important. I have seen the avatar as a photo too. Haha! One of the reasons I started UA-cam was so people could hear me speak and sense my energy etc. This is how we connect with someone. I wish others understood that better. 😊

    Gooood video with some solid advice!!!
    I was reading thru the comments and a gentlemen mentioned about having a inspection on his RV that he has had. What a great idea. Instead of offering just an inspection before buying, you could offer an inspection for a “checkup” on the RV. That way the folks that aren’t that “handy” can be on the front side of any potential problems.

    • @debsrvservices
      @debsrvservices  8 місяців тому

      I think that’s a good idea. I have hourly rates for people to hire me for education, checklists and preventative maintenance. I play around with how I advertise it to see what people want. I’ve had good luck with the education aspect.
