1) Budget of the movie is around 15-25Cr box office worldwide 220 Cr + OTT rights producer is Soubin Shahir 🤑💰😂
2) Cave scenes in the movie is completely set except the exterior shots, they recreated from original Guna Caves
3) Director Chidambaram conducted individual interviews with each of the real Manjummel Boys to delve deep into their trauma and memories, providing a rich foundation for the movie's storyline.
4) During the first tug of war match at the wedding, the opposing team where the actual Manjummel boys.
5) All of the Boys cast have worked as assistant directors and casting etc, and 2 notable directors also acting in the movies

He is a guy who has movie from head to toe, he worked in film sets as a light boy and all the roles like assistant director, casting director, actor, producer, director etc etc, all these contribute to the success of the cinema along with what you have mentioned above

8:15 - actually it was not shot in caves they made a set for that and shot it which looked real.
There is a subtle scene before trip where Sreenath bhasi takes the belt of his brother. That belt saved him from further falling down by hooking on to the rock. That being the fact director said he didn’t show it directly as it would be too detailing.
It happened in 2006... Where was social media so prevelant??
In an interview with the actual guy who fell into the cave he said, the fall actually wont kill you but all those who fell in actually died of starvation and lack of water they actually get injured really bad. So he did not go in a coma.
The real manjumel boys appeared in tug of war scene in the movie. They are the opposite team
Good that you watched the original version not the Hindi dubbed, I just checked few scenes of the Hindi dubbed, they messed up one key helpless aspect of the boys, the language difference between Tamil and Malayalam, the locals and the officials are speaking in Tamil and Boys except one don't understand Tamil only Malayalam they know, so there are some shots where the officials are saying something and the Boys are standing clueless unable to understand Tamil. But in Hindi version they have dubbed both Tamil and Malayalam both into Hindi so those miscommunication or clueless scenes they are just looking stupid, if someone is just watching the Hindi version will find those shots as cringe kya idiots hai kya itna bhi samaj nahi aa raha type, Also one reason why officials are not keen in helping them initially being out of state tourists who cant even communicate properly.

Hi.. Art work of this movie is awesome.. it was actually not shot inside the cave.. but they spent crores to build 50 foot cave set look like original cave... hats off..
The movie was not shot in real location. They spent around 4 cr to create a set, which looked so real.
The police was actually even more brutal in real life, they even took money from them, which; for political reasons was filtered down in the movie.
I would recommend you to watch the real Manjumel boys interview, that will give you an insight into the story.

5:50 its happend in tamil nadu. Even they dont know nothing about this incidents until this movie was released. By the way the cave is not a real. It was a set. And also the huge tree also is a set, were the manjummel boys taking the picture from kodaikanal. It was Ajayan chalissery who did the art direction of this movie. He is the one who did the kumbalangi nights art direction. The main actors house in kumbalangi night is actually a set.

The thing that you didn't talk about and thought about art and set work is the what the best compliment because you believed it is real l. the full cave scenes are done in a set the pit all are set work
