Suzy it is short because most shower curtains are not hung to close to the ceiling. If you have a sewing machine you could sew a white shower curtain to the bottom of the ones that are so pretty. It would still work perfectly.
On the sofas, the U-shaped would work so well because you have the extra space. I have an ottoman where I store my bed linen and towels. It sits at the end of bed and can be used as a little comfy bench as well because the cover is cushioned. Life saver! Other then that, I will keep stealing your ideas!😉

You can get creative and colour block. All the best as you enjoy your new home. Good paint for the cabinet will work. You may even find that a lighter colour would work excellent with your backsplash. The colour recommendations for the cushion is on point. I like th L shape that you now have, however it looks off because one couch goes behind the other. I would recommend the you try and U shape recommended to see how it looks....it may grow on you. I would not recommend getting another sofa. You and even try putting the 2 smaller where the long one is to see it that can work.

Suzy, why don't you put artificial grass on one end for the kids to play on. It is easy to maintain as you can hoover it. You can also make your own compost for your garden by using kitchen waste. Just find a large enough bucket.
I bought shower curtains from box. They were so long I had to cut them. Check them out, you might just find the right size. Alternatively you could consider lowering the rails.

Back agin I just had a idea for the hall photo gallery to cove the undesirable wires and electrical box u could do a light weight family art piece that u all create and have it be suspended from the ceiling lowing it down to the level u need it will cover the things u don’t want to be seen and still have the galley u will love /bathroom maybe lower the rods here in the US 🇺🇸 we don’t have shower curtains rods that high it is typically the same level as the tub shower combo I hope something will help u 👍🏾 ur entry way we would call that area a sun porch with sitting and plants with tables it will be perfect to enjoy on rainy days with a nice cup or tea/coffee ♥️♥️♥️♥️ every room is more than just a pass through space

Leave living area as is. I like the concept of space but still degrees of separation. No to the white couches. Use a shelving unit for a pantry in the kitchen which can house some of the appliances when finished using and thus keep counters clear. Try pumpkins for ground cover, maybe cassava and sweet potato and yam as well. Pygmy palms are slow growing and should look nice in the pots.

Just move the smaller couch to the entry way to the dining area to create a U. I like the paint. It matches the couches & curtains. You can play around with the color of throw pillows.You can also remove the carpet. The floor in this new house is beautiful. (My thought though) 2. Kitchen - Yeah you can repaint the cupboards to white. It'll reflect more light in the kitchen. Paint the wall in the kitchen white as well to reflect more natural light in. Please don't paint the tiles in the kitchen. I feel they're beautiful as they are. The height of the sheer in the kitchen window is OK since if it'll be longer than that, it'll get water as you do your dishes. 3. Entry way - Yeah, it needs a serious make over. You can put a big mirror, wall art with warm colors & something reading welcome. You can also put a shoe rack for visitors shoes & yours as well where your family can place their dirty shoes when you come from outside. 4. Master bedroom - Check 💯. So sorry for the curtains in the bathroom 🤭. The custom made ones will be nice. 5. Kids bedroom - Check💯 6. Laundry area - Yes you can get a good fundi to put the shelves that will work as a mini pantry 7. Kitchen garden - So far so good. You can just adjust the shower curtain rails lower soo that the shower curtains can fit the shower tray well.. Plus I wouldn't advice you to change the kitchen cabinet color the wood color looks perfect though I would obviously add in more lights to boost the lighting system in the kitchen and also paint bright white color on the ceiling and the remaining wall spaces in the kitchen

For your curtains, you can buy curtain lining, there are fabrics like Calico which make curtains/Drapes thick and will not let in a lot of light. Also when you add the curtain lining they will not fade with the sun. I hope this helps 🙂
Take your time , it will all come together soon. I would leave the couch as is, space is too small to put a couch there. A rug, coffee table and a green plant on the floor a fake one beside the couch is what l would do.

That's the best length for the kitchen curtain... Otherwise it gets soggy if close to the sink or a fire hazard when close to a cooking point.

Buy extra shower curtain loops and create a chain link, it will make the curtains reach down

Instead of adding another couch , you can buy 2 arm chairs the latest designs of turquoise blue color

1. The living room - I love it as it is. Just move the smaller couch to the entry way to the dining area to create a U. I like the paint. It matches the couches & curtains. You can play around with the color of throw pillows.You can also remove the carpet. The floor in this new house is beautiful. (My thought though)
2. Kitchen - Yeah you can repaint the cupboards to white. It'll reflect more light in the kitchen. Paint the wall in the kitchen white as well to reflect more natural light in. Please don't paint the tiles in the kitchen. I feel they're beautiful as they are. The height of the sheer in the kitchen window is OK since if it'll be longer than that, it'll get water as you do your dishes.
3. Entry way - Yeah, it needs a serious make over. You can put a big mirror, wall art with warm colors & something reading welcome. You can also put a shoe rack for visitors shoes & yours as well where your family can place their dirty shoes when you come from outside.
4. Master bedroom - Check 💯. So sorry for the curtains in the bathroom 🤭. The custom made ones will be nice.
5. Kids bedroom - Check💯
6. Laundry area - Yes you can get a good fundi to put the shelves that will work as a mini pantry
7. Kitchen garden - So far so good.
The rest of the rooms - You taught us progress not perfection.🤗

You can just adjust the shower curtain rails lower soo that the shower curtains can fit the shower tray well..
Plus I wouldn't advice you to change the kitchen cabinet color the wood color looks perfect though I would obviously add in more lights to boost the lighting system in the kitchen and also paint bright white color on the ceiling and the remaining wall spaces in the kitchen

You had me laughing with the bathroom curtain intro and all. I understand your stress, but it is funny, You may have to get custom made. The white in the kitchen will raise it to another level, I currently have brown cabinets and it sure feels closed in. The room with all the stuff 🤔 just keep the door closed do a bit at a time and soon there too would be cleared up. The living room chairs could be moved around don't add it will make the space crowded. Don't worry you just moved it takes a while to get things organized. I love your kitchen garden blessed hands. You need to lower the telescopic bar( the curtain holders), they don’t have to be that high ….. your head doesn’t touch the shower head so you need to bring them down some cms

For your curtains, you can buy curtain lining, there are fabrics like Calico which make curtains/Drapes thick and will not let in a lot of light.
Also when you add the curtain lining they will not fade with the sun. I hope this helps 🙂

Something it does not have to match, it can just be to bring back a memory, to add whimsy, something unexpected. The aim is to take the space to where you have joy and peace. Now my short answer. I would get a plain curtain taking into consideration that the tiles in the bathroom are a bit busy. What do you think? I'm enjoying the transformation and whatever you do I will still love!
