so at the airport they check every instrument and took them through the x-ray machine? did they ask silly questions? i wanna go to sicily for vacation and i was thinking about taking my tr8s with me... :-)

Well... it depends. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Of course they ask silly questions :) however as soon as you reply with simple answers (it is a musical instrument, a drum machine, an instrument that makes drums sound), It is ok. also because it is a commercial instrument. It is a bit more tricky with Modulars ehehehe. Anyway the real problem is always: flight are getting expensive will less and less weight allowance each year. I think it is unfair, but that is another topic.
