      I found a very simple one yesterday: 100 g shea butter. 50 g almond oil. Melt the shea butter carefully with the double boiler method.
      Let it cool down until almost cold, add the almond oil and some drops of essential oil you like and stir well with a spoon or whisk. It solidifies when it gets cold but it is whether too hard nor too soft.
      It is nourishing but not too greasy. I am using it for my hands and feet.
      Next time I will also try adding some aloe very gel to make it more hydrating. Maybe it will be necessary to keep it in the fridge afterwards.
      I hope it helps! ;)

    • @leonabraithwaite8881
      @leonabraithwaite8881 4 місяці тому

      What I’ve learned is you have to test with small amounts first. Start with 50/50 ratio - then go from there. Carrier oil is liquid at room temp (room temp depends on the temperature of your environment) so if you put too much your mixture won’t be stable - it will look oily (if that makes sense). Also, you don’t want it to melt as soon as you touch it either. I started with 35g shea / 65g oil and it was not the consistency I wanted when I was moisturising my skin. I’m going to try again today making a small amount 50g shea / 40g oil.

If the shea butter u get I refined it will have less of a smell but less of its natural nutrients that are good for ur skin.
