Wow. Okay, so, this ex the first flourish I ever tried to learn several months ago...and the last. Until now. After trying to learn it from 3 or 4 other tutorials, I gave up, thinking I should probably start with something simpler, but I put the cards down for a while, promising myself I'd come back to it. Well, IIIIIIIII'M BAAAAAAACK!!!😂 It must be because of your video, maybe something different in the way you described each step, or something. Whatever the reason, I've got a LOT of practicing to do, as I'm very methodical with it here at first. I realizing that in order to speed up my cardistry skills, I'll have to do it the same way as learning something new on guitar; to speed up, start slow. Thanks, man!!
To be honest, there are a lot of hateful comments here but out of all the tutorial videos I have watched for this flourish this one has helped me the most.
Thanks! I watched 4 different videos and couldnt understand the move untill I got into yours. 3 hours of practice, and now I can do the Sybil cut with slow speed without dropping the cards!
Jay, you are awesome man. I am somewhat new to magic and your videos do help me alot. Thanks. It's funny though how this is easier to me than the charlier cut. I guess my hands are too small. You're awesome and deserve so many more subs and likes.
as always that was really awesome ..at first i was confused ..but after few attempts i found it really easy....the steps are set on my hands but need to practise a lot.......do keep posting........thank you very much
I've been watching your videos, and I think they're good as a starting point. Although, at this moment I think it might be better to flip them upside-down. With a false-cut so complicated as this one, I honestly think it would be better to do it from a point-of-view position.
I didn't realize the Sybil cut was done so many different ways. I wish there was one standard way, and variations to learn later.Thank you though for the lesson.
That you so much I watched this several times kept doing it and now I got it down now I have something to confuse my trickies and show off for girls thanks a lot big help like and subscribe button clicked.very well explained thanks :)
uhm.. ive watch like 4 vids for the sybil cut now and im still stuck .-. can you please make the exchange a bit more clearer. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT TO DO AFTER THE MIDDLE PART
With regards to speed the only advice I can give you is to practice the flourish multiple times a day. If you're watching TV practice the flourish in your hands.
Well, it's a nice little cut, but it's not a sybil cut. it's a variation on "five face of sybil" wich is not "sybil" either. Chris Kenner should be upset by the number of people teaching a "sybil cut" that's not the right one. the name are close, but the cut dont look at all the same. The Original "sybil cut" the right one end with a Kalush cut (from Bill Kalush). Otherwise the video is well done !
why do all the good accounts have to be left handed? its so much harder to follow for me, i like the Russian Genius doing a mirror so it applies to both
Can any one tell me what I might be doing wrong? I can get pretty far into the cut, but I can't seem to get my thumb and ring finger around to reach for that middle packet, the cards I have between my left index and right thumb are blocking me :( I have small hands but I hear that shouldn't be an issue. I have tried in an elevated mechanics and a relaxed one, but the issue is that packet. Tried several tutorials and no one seems to be giving extra tips for that move...
uzoma nwosu I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't do the research behind this flourish to give you that answer. If you have information regarding the invention of this flourish and perhaps a page for the man/woman behind it let me know for sure!
I seen many videos teaching this cut and no one has attributed it to anyone specifically. Thanks to your question, I've looked it up and a simple google searched lead to learning that the Sybil Cut was originally performed by Chris Kenner. Via Wikipedia.
Greg Jay It's in his book "Totally Out of Control" from Kaufman and Greenberg press. It's a worthwhile purchase if you don't have it already. Some of the material is on Theory 11. But there are some gems that you could pull out on your magic friends if they aren't well read. :-)
Sean Duncan Not entirely true haha, they make small versions of bicycle decks amongst other brands! But yes, having small hands takes a toll on learning flourishes/sleights
DasHorrorSchaf Haha, if you are still practicing then I advise doing ALL shuffles over a bed at first to avoid the floor picking, which causes further frustration while being frustrated haha.
uzoma nwosu sry tht i tok sum tym 2 cmnt ,u see my anual xams were on...................my greatest problem in this vid is the angle..............so confusing ,man i watchd 6 tyms to gt it perfect..........nw cmpare ths wid the othrs in utub........u'll gt the difrnce
nicougrikify sorry for making short words,i use them always though not this time.also if writing english properly took less effort and time, message language would not have arised, isn't it?

This is the only Sybil Cut tutorial on youtube that I could actually follow and understand, thankyou :)
i downloaded the video and flipped the video just to learn how to do it and it helped ALOT.
Thank you Jay. Finally I got the move... watched 5 different videos but yours I found most clear for my self. Thank you again.
^
Me too this is the best sybil cut tutorial out there. Though I would recommend that you watch it many times and learn the swivel cut first
good stuff dude, definitely one of the better tutorials out there for this
***** Thanks man it means a lot!
This is freaking hard.
Jay, you are awesome man. I am somewhat new to magic and your videos do help me alot. Thanks. It's funny though how this is easier to me than the charlier cut. I guess my hands are too small. You're awesome and deserve so many more subs and likes.
victoria adams I appreciate the feedback! I'd say, for myself, the charlier cut is a lot easier haha but I have really big hands
as always that was really awesome ..at first i was confused ..but after few attempts i found it really easy....the steps are set on my hands but need to practise a lot.......do keep posting........thank you very much
That actually really helped me thanks bro!
Nasif Francis That's what I'm here for!
I'm just gonna leave a funny comment...this is the 52 card pick up shuffle, when doing it as a beginner xD
Cards flying fucking everywhere.

Awesome, another great tutorial! Thanks!
angle is too confusing
superman25671 Yeah I should have done a POV
Jay Nation your angle was confusing on the swivel cut si what I did was rotate my phone round so the image became a POV
Gazz M We've got a smartass over here!
Georg Lindberg ?????? What
@@MrDaddyGazz big brain time
If u had the camera behind you over your shoulder it would be an easier view I thnk
yup that may be true coz we were bit confused by the angle....
thanks Jay Nation
Dude..! u have such amazing tutorials!.. i wonder u have such less views..! lucky to have found this
Thanks man! Always encourage feedback!
Aadesh M Bagmar My facebook link is in the description!
this took me a while but well worth it
it took me like 5 minutes to get it right and fast thanks man :)
thanks man you're the best and i have learned so much from you.And i subscribed because i think you're great
That you so much I watched this several times kept doing it and now I got it down now I have something to confuse my trickies and show off for girls thanks a lot big help like and subscribe button clicked.very well explained thanks :)
Mr. MaN That you so much bro go back to kindergarten and learn to spell thank
this is GREAT!!!!!!1 i learn it in just 2 minutes
had to rewatch it a few times but i eventually got it
Great tutorial, but can't u attach a camera to your chest? ^^ this angle is pretty annoying ;3
for anyone having difficulties with this use rubber bands to keep your packets together, it will save you much frustration with dropped cards
You should start making a POV toturial !!!!!
I can't steal the middle pack for the first time. Can you explain a little more?
that was very helpful
If you only use four cards you can get used to the motion without dropping any
uhm.. ive watch like 4 vids for the sybil cut now and im still stuck .-.
can you please make the exchange a bit more clearer.
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT TO DO AFTER THE MIDDLE PART
Hi Jay, what deck you using?
That would be a Linoid Finish Tally-Ho Blue Circle back deck of cards
Hi Jay, I've got a little problem, I just can't get a lot of speed wit the sybil cut, I wondered if you had some tips for me? It would help me a lot
With regards to speed the only advice I can give you is to practice the flourish multiple times a day. If you're watching TV practice the flourish in your hands.
thanks, this helps me a lot, btw, you're the best Jay
this one and the werm ticked me off how complicated they r they kept slipping out of my hands
Nice i did it ☺
why are u using spectators view? please show us in 1st person view...
Well, it's a nice little cut, but it's not a sybil cut.
it's a variation on "five face of sybil" wich is not "sybil" either. Chris Kenner should be upset by the number of people teaching a "sybil cut" that's not the right one.

How is this intermediate? it is so easy!
Can any one tell me what I might be doing wrong? gooooooood
After that first rotation, I don't know where to place my fingers to get the 1st packet Im supposed to steal in the right position.
will the deck change formation? i did this and it change my deck's formation
where did you get those cards I've been looking but no store I've went to has them
They're mainly sold online. I would try Amazon.com or perhaps Dan and Dave's website or Theory 11.
ok thanks
Took me 2 whole weeks to master this...
Nice ending....:-)
+JayNation can you please watch the cardists review on the radical 80's playing cards and tell me what is the flourish on 5:43
i tried doing that and da next moment my bed was a whole lot of mess with cards
watched 100 times, still failing miserably, maybe i just unco. damn hard trick!
Is there any reason why you are teaching this cut without attribution? That way folks could go find other effects by that magician.
uzoma nwosu I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't do the research behind this flourish to give you that answer. If you have information regarding the invention of this flourish and perhaps a page for the man/woman behind it let me know for sure!

Can you remake the video at a different angle please?
this is not great man :( why do you make your video from the frong view ??? Its hard to understand and it looks easy for you but not for us :(
need first person view O.O plx
look at 52kards channel he has one in 1st view
The camera angle should be your point of view.
Angle made this video so har to get
i got nothing i suck at this i gotta pick my cards up brb in 2 yrs
GOSH that is confusing! I think that it would be easier to learn if he was actually next to me teaching me and correcting me.
Why is shit too confusing. I hate shit like this but love it at the same time
This is simply not possible if you have small hands.
Sean Duncan Yep lol
Sean Duncan Not entirely true haha, they make small versions of bicycle decks amongst other brands! But yes, having small hands takes a toll on learning flourishes/sleights
I know a midget who can easily do this with a normal sized deck
+RecklessGamerDevil Midgets dont necessarily have small hands. They are just short.
+Jay Nation I'm 10 I can do the Jumping Gemini
Just use ur phone up side down so u can follow it.
What cards are those
this is so hard
My only complaint is you need the view from your perspective
What's the name of theme song?
Intro song?
change the camera angle
My version is bad ass
Damn these little sausages I call fingers
bro how
too complicated
What is the intro song ?
Omar Abdullah Come and Get It by Krewella
Jay Nation thanks
cards met the floor at 3:56
DasHorrorSchaf Haha I'd be surprised if that hadn't happened sooner!
DasHorrorSchaf Haha, if you are still practicing then I advise doing ALL shuffles over a bed at first to avoid the floor picking, which causes further frustration while being frustrated haha.
The view made this hard
THIS MAKES ME WANT TO QUIT USING CARDS!
Song?
galshufi Come and Get it by Krewella
The camera was on his crotch the whole time
Bad angle to show this. I know how to do this but surely not gonna help anyone out with this angle.
Angle is so hard
sry bt ths isnt tht mch impressiv.................the holds, angles, etc weren't clearly describd n shown
Chrollo Lucifer I appreciate the feedback
Chrollo Lucifer Would you mind explaning what wasn't clear? This cut is fully documented so perhaps you could use that as an adjunct resource?
uzoma nwosu sry tht i tok sum tym 2 cmnt ,u see my anual xams were on...................my greatest problem in this vid is the angle..............so confusing ,man i watchd 6 tyms to gt it perfect..........nw cmpare ths wid the othrs in utub........u'll gt the difrnce
Chrollo Lucifer writing english properly probably takes less effort then whatever language you are writing
nicougrikify sorry for making short words,i use them always though not this time.also if writing english properly took less effort and time, message language would not have arised, isn't it?
