@@TheTillhammer Yes, few questions I based on infrmation posted on metalarchives... and great that now all these strange "facts" are clarified. Hope that this book will be ready for their 40th anniversary!
Loved the interview, Phil is one of those guys I could easily have a good long chat with, because he's got that infectious personality in a great way of course. I also love hearing the story behind the song They Breed because I mean there was an interview after that show but I don't recall him really talking about the actual story behind the song there he was just pissed at his bandmates at that time so it wasn't in his best interest most likely to really do interviews at the time, and also just because I love hearing stories of people's bands and songs in general, stories are great. Hoping I'll get to see that book of his cause that's something I'd read.
A true legend of the death metal scene, and a very good conversationalist. I'm glad he told me some stories I didn't know at all, like the origin of the band's name and the background to the song Multiple Stab Wounds.
A lot of these older death metal guys don't really listen to the music anymore so it's very cool to see Phil still listening to it and primeval rules! I was a heroin addict for a long time I know how drugs destroy people's lives.. cool to see they're getting back with the last bang☕🚬🤘
Wow, he looks different! I played drums in a band out of Southern California that opened up for Malevolent Creation 8 or 9 times from 1997 to 2003. I never really talked to Phil. Just a few words here and there. The same with Jon, Brett, Kyle, Rob and Tony Laureano when he was playing with them. Jason was cool when I met him. It was only once, but he was super chill. The two guys I would hangout with, who were always awesome were Gordy Simms and Dave Culross. Dave is probably the coolest guy I have met in my 27 years playing in the scene, and I've met a lot of people. Hopefully I can play some shows with Malevolent Creation again since I'm in an actual deathmetal band again for the first time since mid 2004. I was playing with metalcore, grindcore, and blackmetal bands until early this year. It would be cool to chat with Phil for a change.
Sometimes, those things/mannerisms/characteristics REMAIN, long after the person HAS quit......ID not know Phil, personally and I know he has HAD his issues but yeah, it can and does happen .......
@@audiowhatsapp1919 Yeah, ol Phil got into that lifestyle, and the reality, of what can and usually happens happens to those "in it", as THAT IS WHAT ALL that crap DOES... DESTROYS lives....😞. Shout out to Phil for keeping one of the greatest death metal band alive, love you Phil!

Thanks! That's right, Phil was great to talk to, great person!
@@Soundterror It really seems like it. He clarified a lot of old bs as well. I also hope he gets a book out at some point

Great interview. My favorite death metal band and the most underrated
True, riff masters and no weak album!
@@SoundterrorFTMP yes agreed.... Although, I thought that last 13 album was totally unlistenable for me, personally..... Horrible back stepping 😞
Thanks, man! Awesome interview. (The one with Steve Asheim also)

Most often older death metal guys listen bands whihch they were listening 20-30 years ago, but it seems that Phil check new ones as well
Great interview, he opened up about a lot of interesting matters ,like the origin of multiple stabwounds.looking forward to the Stillborn remaster.
Ytue, he was so open when we were talking in interview and after that. I am looking for these re-releases so much! Especially for Stillborn.
This is a good interview and Phil answered every question without hesitation. Kudos to both dudes 👍🏽
Thanks! It was a pleasure talking with Phil!
I have checked his shirt now several times, is it polish hard hitting band Infernal War ??

Awesome!!!💀👍😎
Thanks for the kind words about the interview! Phil was actually very talkative, great to talk to!
@@Soundterror 😎 👍
Always surprised when this band manages to put out a new album.
Why surprised?
@@Soundterror because they are so dysfunctional. This interview is proof of that.

Unfortunately there is no MC song in GTAIV.
This was another piece of crap posted on metal archives without any verification.
Dead by Dawn and I Cum Blood are in the DLC
Rebirth of Terror was the walkout music for Josh Barnett in EA Sports MMA
@@Monolith1676 There was Deicide and Cannibal Corpse in the DLC
Jason's albums are boss but Revised Pursuit remains one of the definitive DM vocals. Just rancid.
I think all vocalists in MC were great. Wonder who will be new one?
Schroeder Trail
hm?
He does crack, meth addiction movements...

That was my first reaction. I was trying really hard to concentrate on what he was saying but his mannerisms were really distracting.
