Hi Marva I think it turned out ok. Let’s face it, it would be hard to demould with ordinary resin without breaking it. I think you did well & certainly not a failure

I think it was more the fault of a poorly designed mold rather than the mix2mold product that caused the issues, even resin may have broken. You did a gorgeous job of designing the colors though Marva - great job - turned out beautiul!

You could break off all those tiny rods and glue it together. Maybe put it into a tray as a base. It's very pretty.

I'd try to get a paintbrush into the WE. Love the colours. 😍❤️ As has already been mentioned, put it on a board. Certainly not a fail. It can be salvaged. 👍❤️

I agree Marva it was a wee bit of a fail better luck next time. The "Wish you a" should also have had polka dots as the words were a tad lost with the lines. Anyhoo May I wish yourself, Cody and the beautiful Cosmo An extremely merry Christmas and I hope you all have a brilliant 2025. 🎅🤶🌲🌲

You could have put a backing on it to give it more strength... I love that stuff, but it is very fragile...

Shalina at Tea and Art did some thinkers I believe marbling in mix to mold with epoxy . Both curing together at the same time. They looked beautiful and she put angel wings on them. Nothing went wrong with them being in the same mold curing together. Try that with this mold maybe.

I hope you do try this one again , maybe fill it up more to the top of the mold and leave it much longer in the mold before demolding ?? I have always wanted to try and do this one but it will have to be for next year LOL It did turn out colourful that is for sure

I would go over" wish you a" in a different colour & get some of your green paint on a silicone mat & paint "we" in with a small paint brush. You could also stick the wholevthing to a board 😊

To salvage it, you could spray paint the whole thing a solid color and just do some dry brush highlights on the words. Leave it simplistic and classy. Does the mold have room to bury some small dowels in the M2M or resin so you could add some 33:23 strength to the tiers? It's such a beautiful mold. I would hate to chunk it.

Sometimes things don't work out like we planned.

What about underfilling it let it cure and then do a layer of epoxy over it to fill it up. Giving it some strength. Do your letters in epoxy resin to.

The mold itself is flawed on design "We wish you a merry Christmas AND (which is not included) a happy new year". The "a happy new year" is too crowded, leaving no space to define each word, making it difficult to read. What you did right was to color each word in the "a happy new year", it gave definition and clarity to a jumbled up messy area 😊
Mold manufacturers need to put volume amounts for their molds directly on their molds in a contrasting color (to make it readily and easy to read), but that mold there will take around 700 grams of casting powder, maybe even 800.
I have the same mold but haven't cast it because of the irregularities of the wording. You should also allow 12 hours (at least) to allow those thin areas to harden (you can help it out by loosening the silicone from the casting to allow air circulation for moisture to escape].
Also, for those tight areas that the pens can't get into, try using a micro brush and wipe it on the tip of the paint pen, then use it to get those hard to reach areas. Or you can just use acrylic paint and a small brush.
All-in-all, you did a good job with a difficult mold, and you should feel good about that, plus you used good colors 😊

It looks pretty painted but I've seen in another ceramic resin and it broke in the same places.
