Made my first flight with it two days ago … after 7 years of analogic vid, it’s a whole different world and I love it . ( of course I tried DJI, but that was not for me)
I've just come a cross your channel and this is gold! I've been following sharkbyte quite closely since bytefrost but as all the other videos only cover small updates, a general overview at a more develloped stage is hugely welcome. Amazingly conscise and well presented information, keep it up and I'll be looking forward to the next episodes of the series.
Nice. Very detailed. One thing to compare with DJI is clarity in motion. Since DJI uses mult compression, you will sometimes see patches of grass repeat from frame to frame. Since shark byte is not compressed like this, each frame is distinct from the last - much better in my opinion - but, it is less effective resolution than DJI outside of that
Thanks for the comment Ryan! Your videos on Shark Byte are one of the reasons I was interested in testing it out. Definitely will keep an eye on the motion, could be fun to film some shots and go frame by frame to see how things look. I do think that’s an advantage to this system.
Very interesting system for any who won't to get locked into DJI ecosystem and save some money for other hardware. Very small latency is also a plus. After firmware updates at end of July 2021 SharkByte is closing to DJI picture and noise processing quality so I would dare to say that this system will have a future. I myself indeed want to give SB a try. Probably together with new adequate googles like HDO2 or SkyZone SKY04X.
I think being able to use other goggles is one of the most compelling parts of the system. I’ve seen some people say that the image quality is even more competitive if using OLED goggles, which seems possible.
@@ATXAirborne I now have Eachine EV200D googles (LCOS screens) with HDMI input. Seems SharkByte compatible out of box. Picture quality is fine for HD picture. Tested with 1080p videos and even watched a pair of 1080p movies for fun :) Question remains about how to mount SB receiver on them comfortably. In future I wish to get some proper OLED googles like HDO2 or SkyZone SKY04X as I mentioned above.
I’m thinking about doing a video on some creative ways to mount the receiver. My current goggles are Skyzone Cobra X which also requires a unique mounting solution. The goggles do work great with Sharkbyte though.
Another great and informative video. I look forward to your next one in this series. Your ExpressLRS video was a huge help to me, and since I’m thinking of getting SB, I’m sure you will be a great source of information and instruction on that system as well. Thank you!
Thank you very much for the explanation and details! 2 things I wonder are image quality and range. Also patch antenna means we need to face towards the quad, I am interested to see how good it works. Again thank you for this video which is realy helpful.!
Well after many trys i cannot make Shark Byte work. Did all the updates and nothing vtx blue light flash's on and then goes out. This isn't my first rodeo i have more than 10 quads. Using the Run Cam HD nano. I bought this system new and can't make it work. I shouldn't have to start replacing cables and camera and vtx on a new system. So bye bye Shark Byte not wasting any more time on this nonsense.

Glad you are liking it! Why was DJI not for you?
@@ATXAirborne Too big, too bulky, too laggy, too DJI (proprietary) and too expensive (buy it all again,..)
I ran dji for 12 months. Moved to sharkbyte just for a change.
Really like the system
Not blind to its weaknesses but I'm very happy with it.

@@ATXAirborne Glad I helped
I saw your video on the glass lens mod. Really made me look at Shark Byte again.
I would like to see some sort of penetration tests for flying behind object.
I agree

Excellent video, I’m excited

Great vid Love it
I Like SB it's great for whoops or toothpicks.
Can you change shark bite and anolog on the spot?❤

Glad you liked the video!
It does have two omni antennas on top. While signal is definitely better facing the quad, it’s not required.
I want to know if it’s reasonable to put on a whoop 85mm or less and how inexpensive the build can be
Don't forget dji vtx & goggles needed to bind .
In case of fail safe whole system restarts.
Clear and interesting vid.
Honest i can't get shark byte to work with the bi-frequency modulation transfibulator
Have you tried turning it off and then on again?
Ctrl + Alt + Del
ALT + F4 works
great video thank u and yes for me i like shark byte system better .
It's made by divimath not fatshark, totally different company
the range is shitty i look at my analoug its not far off shark bite
grotte
