@wadehjb This is because they were made in the 80's and these musicians were influenced by the music around them at the time. The 80's was the synth era, if you listen to pop music from the 80's the majority of stuff had melodies, even in 80's rock it pretty much always had some lead guitar melody or solo as the main feature. Music today doesn't have this as the fashion now days in minimal. Although we are long overdue for a change in style.
The music had so much character and musicians focused more on the melodies back then. Most video game scores sound quite generic these days and I'd really struggle to tell them apart.
Just go to the AmigaMusicPreservation site and make a search for "uncle tom" (might work with Titan too as long as it's Titan of Northstar...) or "popcorn mix". Unfortunatly, the AMP-version is in STK-format ("modclone") so it might need a bit of fiddling to work. Another way is to get WinUAE and the AmigaKickroms and run the old Celebrandil/Nothstar demo "Progress"... might be on UA-cam too... But by now you have probably found that version ages ago... :)
2 dislikes ? must be 1 for Sony 1 for Microsoft because they are utterly pissed that they can't make games or music like the Amiga could produce. 3rd dislike will be from Nintendo shortly.....
In the early tracker music, yes because it was part of the most common sample library. Samplers were quite rare back then (I had to build my own) so most people depended on the sound libraries that were spread along with Sound Tracker (Which was the first tracker software) and ripped from other tracker songs.
Anyone know the title of track 15 after Amiga Nuts? Driven me crazy for years since I first saw this video as to the origin of the track. Probably have it somewhere as well!
@leerees yeah modern video game music sucks, its all some boring orchestra that sounds exactly like the last games orchestra.....as for non game music, theres still some decent stuff out there all be it not much, the music i like most people have never heard of

Thank you very much, for years I was looking for this song :_)
Qué buenos tiempos los de aquella época, y juegos de gráficos sencillos, casi primitivos, nos hacían sentir que eran los mejores.
Y de hecho; lo son.
5 - classic... +++
@leerees Great point and I totally agree.
Music today seems to be an industry controlled by record companies rather than by genuine musicians.
at 3:24 (track 12) the mod is called over_the_top1.mod or also cons-smallintro2.mod, its done by cons of panic

@wadehjb That's exactly my opinion to (and it´s been for years)! Totally agree with you on that one.
