It's sad that almost every game coming out rewards running Low settings - removing foliage that would hide enemies, removing shading that would hide enemies, in general giving a huge benefit for anyone turning the graphics down, and punishing anyone who would like the game to look good. Hopefully they will improve on that :)
and how about the shadows?
shadows important for enemies visual but if you on low end gpu you cant get stable performance
its same as that
there should be no setting you can lower to see the enemy better. if you'd not be able to run a game without turning things off that gives you an advantage over other players - then you shouldn't be able to run the game (I'm talking about competitive multiplayer here). I've played pro BF2, and back then it was the same - we turned off most settings even if our computers could run the game on high - because removing interior shading and bushes that would otherwise hide players would make you win matches. Sadly it's just the same in most games today.
camaxide shadows is opposite when you have low end gpu
shadow is pretty demend for situational like if enemy shadow casting on the wall you knownthe enemies are there but
lower end card is hardly run on high detail shadow

and the problem on Battleground is even it good hardware its unoptimized as shit

No, he's talking actual shadows, not just AO. And not many games have it. GTA 5 comes to my mind right now, and that's about it.

I know that UA-cam has some sort of compression to videos, but a thing you should consider, when you're rendering/filming your videos, is bitrate. A lot of detail in grass and areas with high contrast gets blurred out because there is not enough data to store this detail per frame.

Wish everyone could play Pubg in 4K quality with like 144+ frames without a single drop. The game would be amazing and everyone would enjoy it so much
it almost looks like playing on low would give you a huge advantage. literally no grass renders in, so you could see people a lot better that are trying to hide lmao.
on high only the grass is better but when you are on low you can see the people hiding in the grass
It's a really good-looking game. Shame it's the most beneficial to have the graphics on low, and draw distance on ultra ofcourse.

Tbh, I actually like the very low settings, the ultra is gorgeous and everything but for some reason I see clearly more using the very low settings while the ultra or above low makes the game a bit blurry and harder to see
Having low graphics just to see enemies proves you don't care about the experience of good graphics which makes you sad.
Low settings do give you a advantage because you can spot people faster because not everything renders in (i believe players Will render first)

I also expect this to be CPU-limited mostly.

I started gaming 20 years ago on PC then started with consoles. N64, PS2/3/4/PRO...always irked me to see this PC vs console flame war. So, 3 weeks ago I built a $3000 PC. I've quickly realized I'm probably in the top 5% of PC users. That being said, 95% of these douchebags who laugh at consoles have shitty PCs that can't run anything on Ultra with 60fps at 1080p, much less 1440p or 4k. You are all peasants to me.

Can someone explain to me why the pc community hates on console? I always play on a pc and I just don't understand. Why hate on a normal community just playing games like all of us?
