In this video I share with you guys the brand-new ThinkTank Airport Security V3. The ThinkTank Airport Security has always been their flagship camera bag. I bought my Airport Security V2 many years ago and have used it non-stop ever since. The evolution of the ThinkTank Airport Security V3 is fantastic. You can see every aspect of the bag has gone thru some sort of improved re-design. I'm happy to see that there is now a dedicated pocket for your laptop and iPad. Previously, I'd been shoving them into the front pouch of my ThinkTank Airport Security V2, but I am happier that these items and now completely secured in protective zippered pockets.
I also noticed that ThinkTank did away with the shoulder straps. I actually never used them on the ThinkTank Airport Security V2 and by deleting them from the ThinkTank Airport Security V3, they made the back of the bag completely rigid and opened up space inside the bag while keeping the same profile.
I will migrate all my camera gear from the ThinkTank Airport Security V2 to the ThinkTank Airport Security V3 and know that it'll continue to be secure and easy to access for any shoot.

@adamlernerphoto thank you for the video. Have you ever had issues with the Airport Security V2 or 3 fitting in the overhead of an Airbus A320/321? Have you flown JetBlue with it? Mine measures 23.5” not the published 22” domestic airline length limit. Thank you
I really don't know that kind of specific detail and would recommend taking the measurements and comparing to the Airbus overhead measurements. I try to carry on a @thinktankphoto backpack typically and love my Streetwalker Harddrive when I have lots of gear and laptop and the Airport Essentials when traveling light. The risk is always if it doesn't fit, I don't want to take the risk of checking it as it doesn't have the shell of a Pelican case which can be tossed around, not that I ever want to imagine my camera gear being tossed around! :)

HI Adam. Great Video thank you! have you had any issue when travelling on airplanes and using the V2 as carry-on?
Hi Vince, There have been a couple times when I'm on a smaller plane that it's been more difficult. I will be reviewing the Airport International V3 soon and will do a comparison to the Airport Security V3.
And what did you do in those couple of times? Checked it in? I'm hesitant to fly with my airport security. I have checked the carry-on specs on the airline I use the most but what about weight?
I've never had to check it or pay an overage, but if you're concerned at all, I'd recommend flying with a smaller bag. It seems that people carry on more and more stuff making it harder to find room for a big bag into the overhead.
Which think tank would you recommend for carrying one light stand and umbrella as well as tripod?
That really depends on the size of your lightstand, unbrella and tripod. I use the Streetwalker Harddrive to carry a nano stand, umbrella, camera, lens, flash, trigger, as a backpack. I can add my laptop as well.

Whats the difference between the V3 International and Security?
The Airport Security is a larger bag than the International. The international is sized to fit in smaller planes. It's still a great sized bag, but smaller than the Security.
