Thank you so very, very much for this video. I have spent way too much time trying to figure this out on my own to quilt my Happy Halloween quilt (I didn't use the background quilting.) Until I found this video, I was so frustrated trying to figure it out on my Baby Lock Solaris, I was going to throw in the towel and free motion it on my Baby Lock Tiara. You made it so easy to figure it out!! Now to get my Happy Halloween quilt sandwiched so I can start quilting it!!
That’s an excellent video. Thank you. I hope to be able to connect the stitches for my quilt through edge to edge while going around my appliqués. If you know how to do that please make a video demonstrating how to. Thank you again.
At last I can get this thought out if my how to brain. I have tried to figure out how to do this. Not that I have one if the machines that are capable, but it was driving me nuts how this would work. Maybe some day my dream ship will keep sinking. I love watching you.
A gr4eat tutorial. I have been wondering how to do this and now I am going to give it a try. I have just bought the Luminaire3 and I have a lot to learn from it.
Thank you so much Becky for doing this video. I have had my Dream machine for 2 years and do not know how to do this. I will watch your video many times to try to get this in my thick head. I can’t thank you enough.
Amazing! I do think my Dream Machine will do this as well. It has a design center and it also has the stippling pattern. Thanks for the inspiration! You are awesome!
Thanks! Thanks, Becky. Another informative video. Loving this. My Baby Lock Unity does not do this but my friend has a Brother Luminair 2 and we are learning together!
Thank you so much for this. So many videos talk thru the process. I like that you actually take us thru the embroidery! I will refer to this video when I try this.
Thank you for your service, you are one amazing woman AND you’re a Texan to boot. I just love your videos. Could you explain some things that are a bit different between the stellaire xj1 and the luminaries when you do these different projects. This all from a fellow Texan somewhat drowned after all this rain and storms
Thank you! I don't think I could do the Stellaire justice because I've never used one. I'm not familiar with the app for the Stellaire either so I really couldn't do a good job of "If you have the Stellaire, you'll do this...."
Love t! I saw a giveaway from you for a layer cake and it said to enter on UA-cam. Not sure if this is the proper way but hope this gets me in. Thanks!
Awesome thank you so much, I’m going try this this week. You are gem! I listen to you all the time and enjoy it all. It really encourages me... I hope y’all have safe and amazing Memorial Day weekend...can wait for your next video 🌹
Thank-you so much for sharing this video. I’ve played around a little bit with design center, IQ, on my BabyLock Meridian. I just could never quite figure out how to do the stippling and deleting an area. This was great! Looking forward to using this technique!
Thank you Becky, another great tutorial for sure! I recently got a Stellaire and I'm probably going to have to snap a few shots to do this, but I'm so interested in being able to stipple around my applique. I can now see the difference and versatility of the Luminaire vs the Stellaire, but I simply love my machine! Thanks for showing this and you sure make it look easy!
Becky Thank you for the lesson. I can't tell you how many people I have watched on the IQ Design. You explain things so simply. You are a Born teacher. If you ever decide to have a private group for teaching for a fee. I will sign up. Your teaching would be worth every penny.
Becky when you are in the Design Center, you can eliminate the black line around the edge by going to the line drawing area and changing it to a no sew. You touch the area that shows the line, like you do to in the bottom area to select the stipple, and then select no sew. This will eliminate the black line outline around the design.
When you chose the square….you can then pick the “middle” box without the outline you can eliminate the dark outline around the box. It’s just above the shapes. Ask me how I know…..
Yes Catherine you can do the same with Stellaire. You just are scanning with the app and hoop instead and sending the scan to the machine to go into design center and do the same steps she did.
It works on machines that allow you to erase on-screen. I don't know if the Destiny II does that or not. Sorry! You can follow the steps on your machine and see if you have the same buttons.
Hey Becky! I am doing a quilt like this. Scanning, and putting stipple around my embroidery I don’t want stitched. The problem I’m having is when I finish erasing where I don’t want it stitched, I press next to change the size to .700 but when the blue dots are circulating and stops it doesn’t change the size! Urrrgggg. I go through this like 4-5 times and finally get it to change. Does it sound like software problem to you? Brother didn’t have any suggestions???? So frustrating. I’ve done 7-8 hoopings.
I've had that happen too. Be sure to save your work into memory before attempting to resize the stipple. You might save yourself some steps. Yes, sometimes the software is like a child and just doesn't do what you want it to do. It's rare, but it happens.
@@PowerToolsWithThread hey Becky! I found out that when you touch ‘next’ to resize the stipple or other design at the top of that page is a link button, I turned that on and for some reason it works! I don’t understand why but it works! Brother didn’t t even know, my dealer told me! Just wanted to share this info!☺️
@@geritavares6031 Unfortunately, Brother only allows their dealers to see where they have a physical location in a state. I don't know of any dealers in FL but I'm sure a quick google search will find one near you. Good luck!
Just found your videos. Thank you!!! I was trying to figure out how to do this, now I can complete my project. Very helpful.

My Destiny II will do this as well thru IQ Designer

I wish my Baby Lock Ellisimo 2 did that! I think I need to hook it up to a computer. Thanks for your tutorials, always learn something!
I would love to win Pat Sloans book!!
Thank you so much for this video. I finally mastered this method to stipple. Your explanations were great even though I was using the dream machine 2😍
Oh now THAT looks like fun! Thanks Becky
Great tutorial. would love to win Pat's new book.
Thank you Becky!! Mine didn't turn out perfectly but I learned a lot! You're a great teacher!
So cool! Wish my Quattro would do that... and no I'm not allowed another machine.
Same here...I have the BL Ellisimo Gold II. Luckily a lot of digitizers are creating quilting for us with appliqué projects, i e, Kimberbelle.
@@TxHoneybee01 same here. My EG2 does what I need it to do....

This is so informative Becky. Thank you for this tutorial. I want to win the Pat Sloan Holiday book. I love the Halloween treat bag.
Hi Becky! Great tutorial! Do you ever use a mouse for erasing where you don't want the stipple? Thanks for posting this!

I have a Brother NQ1600E. Can I do this with my machine, or maybe in the Embrilliance software?
Can this be done on my 10 needle PR1050X?
Yes! If you've got Design Center on your Brother machine, you can do this! The buttons are just a tiny bit different, but it can be done.
I figured it out and I’m super happy with the outcome and a new world of opportunity just opened up! Thanks!
Great video. I’m guessing this would also work with the Brother Stellaire machines using the snap app feature.
Yes Catherine you can do the same with Stellaire. You just are scanning with the app and hoop instead and sending the scan to the machine to go into design center and do the same steps she did.

Would this work with the Destiny II
It works on machines that allow you to erase on-screen. I don't know if the Destiny II does that or not. Sorry! You can follow the steps on your machine and see if you have the same buttons.
Yes it does!
How would you go about doing an applique table runner?
I’d use a Designs by Juju end-to-end quilting design.
Becky did you use Design Center to applique around the ghost ?
No, I used Simply Applique for that.
Thanks for your embroidery demo. I had not checked to see if my BERNINA machine stipples. Now I am dying to get to work. Ettakay

I don't think the auto-stipple and ability to erase was included on any of the Dream series unfortunately.
Where do you buy your machines
My local dealer is Allbrands and they are in Texas and Louisiana. But I've bought some from private sales on Craigs List too.
I would like to buy from all brands but they say I have to buy local and I want a Solaris...no one has that here...any suggestions..I am in fl
