Visited in November 2016- it was a freezing cold day with a gale blowing through the place. The former execution suite was all the more eerie because of that. A very interesting experience
Lived up the street from the jail ( cliftonpark avenue) could hear the prisoner's once in a while !!
Defintely reccomend! Went with my dad yesterday, a great experience 😁

The name of this channel is one of my life's goals!
It also has a pretty terrifying Horror Gaol Experience. It was terrifying! But worth doing for sure.

It's so ugly and dark it's beautiful. Next door is Mater Hospital. RIP to all whom died in both places.
Remember spending time there on D wing for an on payed fine 🤣 hated the basement cold and damp

1998, I was in Girdwood which is gone now and I walked around the cells and the execution room, I remember all the a4 bits of paper with big red hands and the words ‘Our only crime was being loyal’ rain would come in through the roof and water would reside around the cells and walkways.
Cold ,damp,grey and miserable.
We should actually put our illegal benefits Migrants in places like this instead of 4 star hotels .
