We must not forget that Pastor Tony Evans wife passed away a couple years ago. Maybe during the time of grief he fell, but I’m so proud of Pastor Evans because it shows us that Pastor can’t take self evaluation and protocol. I feel like this is a win for the body of Christ and also win for the Evans family.
They said it was something from a while ago. I wonder if he might have fell short sexually during the time he wasn’t married after his first wife died. Not sure but that just came to mind. If that’s the case, he probably just tried to move past it after he got remarried but his conscience probably wouldn’t let him or thinking about the fact it could be exposed one day made him say let’s just go ahead and finally deal with it now.

I listened to Pastor Evans for quite a while. He’s fallen and I pray for his restoration and healing from whatever was the action. It’s unfortunate, however, Pastor Evans is no different than any other person addressing their sin, becoming convicted by it. His stepping down is the right thing to do.
Yes, many of us have known and respected the ministry of Tony Evans for decades. I’m not surprised that Pastor Evans would do the right biblical decision of stepping down. I respect his decision and that’s that. I’ve known a few good pastors that have done the same locally and were properly restored and held accountable according to God’s word. Now it’s our job to pray for his restoration.

I grew up listening to his teaching while growing up in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. His son is an anointed worshipper and hia daugter teaches just like him. The family is just a great example. He doesnt have to yell and scream and do acrobatics to get people's attention. He just preaches the Word and lets God do the rest. Wuth that being said, this is one of the only pastors that makes me heart broken when hearing th has to step down for sin. 😢😢😢😢 When TD Jakes stepped down, l was like finally because he just didn't seem correct. But Pastor Evans is different because he has such a repentant heart. Whatever os going on, he is still a great example in doing this and gets the forgiveness he needs to move on. He said it happened 2 years ago when his wife died. She was a great wife and mother so I'm thinking maybe that time of grieving sent him on some kind of sin. We're not perfect and there are certain situations in our loves that cause us to sin. Either way, may he get the forgiveness he needs to move on.
I havent heard him in about a few years, but i use to listen to him everyday at 7:30pm on moody radio, on my way home from work. To me he was not like those mega big church pastors. 😢

Seeing this now, I believe she was right. I was already feeling it in my spirit, especially after finding out he mentored/pastored Kirk Franklin. Many of that lady’s prophecies are being fulfilled.
David was a sincere man of God and he fell into sin. We need to pray for restoration and understand that it is Satan's plan to trip up faithful believers so that their influence will be diminished. While we need to uphold truth and righteousness we cannot strengthen Satan's position. We weaken Satan's position by praying and not highlighting the flaws. A fall is different to a lifestyle of sin.
As a body of Christ, we have to put God first in everything. We don't know what this Pastor has done nor is it anyone's business. We have to focus on the planks in our own eyes before we try to pluck splinters from the eyes of others. If anyone who attends Church puts their Pastor on the level of the Most High God, I Pray for them because nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes (Pastors and All). Lord help us all 🙏🙏💞
I just listened to Apostle / General Ivory Hopkins video speaking about Leaders needing to pour into as well. So Pastor Evan’s needed exactly what Hopkins said to be poured into, he’s needs our prayers, and he needs to go through whatever restoration that God has for him. It's good he did this. His motivation to do it, only God knows what that was. His daughter, Priscilla Shirer, is also a minister, and his sons are, I believe, connected to the ministry as well. Wherever there is repentance, and breaking up with sin, God will show His mercy and details will not be exposed. May the Lord help this family, restore what's been broken, and bring them closer to Himself.
I don’t really know much of Tony but I am proud of him , he did what many pastors fail to do . And for those who are judging him I feel like they would have done the same to David ( a man after Gods own heart)after he fell with Bathsheba. But God has a plan for Tony and this act shows his integrity. I pray Father restores his spirit as he mourns over his sin and he partners with Him in this season

This shows being Exposed doesn't necessarily mean that you are hard headed. Yes, Preachers do have a code of conduct to a higher standard. And at the same time they are considered "Blameless." So, we don't know the sin, we don't know the background story we don't know the details of who, what or when.---And to protect the innocent we don't need to know. We don't need to know how long was the duration of the sin. All we need to know is what he said, I repent. So, what needs to be accomplished at this point is moving on.--and it was a forgotten situation the moment he repented to GOD from his heart. Hopefully, he would one day share the full story to help someone that might be facing the same thing, and not hide the whole truth. You see, many Preachers get in the pulpit and tell all about somebody else and not blink twice.-- even if, it's not true about the person. But not many who will get in the pulpit and tell on they own self and tell the whole story. And that's the double standard to hid mine while I expose you. But I was lied on during this time "out of his mouth" he said to the public that I was prostitute, alcoholic, drug addict, shooting up heroin, having sex and in other words, practicing sinning to the, he said this to the whole world. I even went and did a drug test to prove my innocence but The whole cat 🐈 of lies was out of the bag and everyone believed it but I didn't do it. I suffered as a sinner "not a sin" but a sinner for all these years being osterizide and mocked and reproached as a sinner and looked upon as a false teacher, false SEER and looked upon as a failure in the Church community. A whole laundry list of sins was attached to my name and one by one I was made fun of by people that I didn't know and I was reminded of each sin by these people public of what was told to them in their hearing on social media by the Man of GOD, the Man of Faith, the Man who everybody like and respect and every time I ministered the word or prophecy It was discredited and discriminated against because of what he said about me. But only bits and pieces of his sin is told. Well, it doesn't matter to me I just know what GOD said to me by HIS HOLY SPIRIT that it's them who are practicing sinning and not me. And on another occasion GOD revealed to me by HIS SPIRIT that HE'S going to expose those who falsely accused me and so far HE did. And I had posted a Word back in 2021 I believe that GOD revealed to me about the down-low Christians and so on.

Agreed. I love Tony’s teachings but I think many are glancing over so much: 1. Why didn’t you step down “years ago”. 2. Is he trying to get ahead of the something Because we all sin and being in ministry over 40 years would definitely have you stepping up and down if it’s so simply “brought in remembrance” as Abednego says. When you follow Jesus and esteem no man, we’re able to understand that the light will reveal all.

Your right I didn't watch the entire video at first, so I took the time to watch it. I do stand by what I said the first time. He didn't share this with social media, it was with his family, leadership and church. It is the social media gurus of exposure who decided to share it with the world. I don't expect them to understand because the custom of the church based upon the 2024 prophetic notion of this being the year of exposure. We are exposing people that are exposing their own life. If God didn't tell you to do it, then you shouldn't put it on social media for the world to discuss or as they say get in the comments and let's discuss this. This may sound right to you, but it is not right. I posted the same thing asking Marcus Rogers why he would post that post about Tony Evans, it's getting crazy. There is a new prophetic word that has gone out and it goes like this. God will begin to deal with those who are always exposing people. Especially when we invite people to discuss the exposure that is when we are causing others to sin. Exposing is not about inviting thousands of people to give their input on an individual shortcomings. I don't expect you to understand, for some reason this normally doesn't bother me, but it did today. If I'm wrong God will deal with me and I will be the first to apologize but for right now I still feel strongly about everyone on social media reposting this man's past failures and asking others to discuss it!
Many UA-camrs are calling it a “ministry”. Their goal is views, clicks, and likes. I’m noticing that every time I scroll here…..everything is considered a demon. Though we don’t fight against flesh and blood, we have free will with many things. But everything has to be demon to validate his deliverance ministry. His friend Marcus Rogers is the same. He needs views and clicks 💰. Scrolling past him barely sees him teaching the Bible.
I don't understand why he had to resign when he clearly demonstrates he understands that the Lord gives second chances for those who are repentant! Had he been caught and he continued over and over again without repenting and refusing Godly counsel, i would have understood. So-called pastor, Marcus Rogers needs to step down, because of his repeated adultery lifestyle. He has been married 4 times,even before he was 36 years old. He turned 37 in July 2023. His 4th marriage was in January 2022.

He fell into sin and his prayer in Psalm 51 shows his broken heart. He was hiding his sin but humbled himself, repented and turned around when confronted.

@@Wayroad35 I don't doubt for I did not sit in his lying church trying to buy my way into Gods graces. It was not my tithing that helped him purchase an airplane or a mansion. But the Lord does give us discernment; "you shall know them by their fruits" and this pastor knows what's coming to those who do not follow His commandments. The Lord bears long with sinners but WILL NOT excuse sin; God is a God of Justice. This is what's missing in a lot of these celebrity pastors churches. And I will always call it out no matter what you or anyone else says for the Lord is who I answer to. Be well.

It's good he did this. His motivation to do it, only God knows what that was. His daughter, Priscilla Shirer, is also a minister, and his sons are, I believe, connected to the ministry as well. Wherever there is repentance, and breaking up with sin, God will show His mercy and details will not be exposed. May the Lord help this family, restore what's been broken, and bring them closer to Himself.

Amen, thank you for addressing this. I agree. This is unfortunate but I think Dr. Evans is an example of how to man up and stand up as a man of God.
I don’t really know much of Tony but I am proud of him , he did what many pastors fail to do . And for those who are judging him I feel like they would have done the same to David ( a man after Gods own heart)after he fell with Bathsheba. But God has a plan for Tony and this act shows his integrity. I pray Father restores his spirit as he mourns over his sin and he partners with Him in this season

This shows being Exposed doesn't necessarily mean that you are hard headed. Yes, Preachers do have a code of conduct to a higher standard. And at the same time they are considered "Blameless."
So, we don't know the sin, we don't know the background story
we don't know the details of who, what or when.---And to protect the innocent we don't need to know.
We don't need to know how long was the duration of the sin.
All we need to know is what he said, I repent.
So, what needs to be accomplished at this point is moving on.--and it was a forgotten situation the moment he repented to GOD from his heart.
Hopefully, he would one day share the full story to help someone that might be facing the same thing, and not hide the whole truth.
You see, many Preachers get in the pulpit and tell all about somebody else and not blink twice.-- even if, it's not true about the person.
But not many who will get in the pulpit and tell on they own self and tell the whole story. And that's the double standard to hid mine while I expose you.
But I was lied on during this time "out of his mouth" he said to the public that I was prostitute, alcoholic, drug addict, shooting up heroin, having sex and in other words, practicing sinning to the, he said this to the whole world.
I even went and did a drug test to prove my innocence but The whole cat 🐈 of lies was out of the bag and everyone believed it but I didn't do it.
I suffered as a sinner "not a sin" but a sinner for all these years being osterizide and mocked and reproached as a sinner and looked upon as a false teacher, false SEER and looked upon as a failure in the Church community. A whole laundry list of sins was attached to my name and one by one I was made fun of by people that I didn't know and I was reminded of each sin by these people public of what was told to them in their hearing on social media by the Man of GOD, the Man of Faith, the Man who everybody like and respect and every time I ministered the word or prophecy It was discredited and discriminated against because of what he said about me.
But only bits and pieces of his sin is told.
Well, it doesn't matter to me I just know what GOD said to me by HIS HOLY SPIRIT that it's them who are practicing sinning and not me.
And on another occasion GOD revealed to me by HIS SPIRIT that HE'S going to expose those who falsely accused me and so far HE did.
And I had posted a Word back in 2021 I believe that GOD revealed to me about the down-low Christians and so on.
Well whatever the reason is I still respect it.. he understands that the house of God has ordered. Keep our brother in prayer.

Your right I didn't watch the entire video at first, so I took the time to watch it. I do stand by what I said the first time. He didn't share this with social media, it was with his family, leadership and church. It is the social media gurus of exposure who decided to share it with the world. I don't expect them to understand because the custom of the church based upon the 2024 prophetic notion of this being the year of exposure. We are exposing people that are exposing their own life. If God didn't tell you to do it, then you shouldn't put it on social media for the world to discuss or as they say get in the comments and let's discuss this. This may sound right to you, but it is not right. I posted the same thing asking Marcus Rogers why he would post that post about Tony Evans, it's getting crazy. There is a new prophetic word that has gone out and it goes like this. God will begin to deal with those who are always exposing people. Especially when we invite people to discuss the exposure that is when we are causing others to sin. Exposing is not about inviting thousands of people to give their input on an individual shortcomings. I don't expect you to understand, for some reason this normally doesn't bother me, but it did today. If I'm wrong God will deal with me and I will be the first to apologize but for right now I still feel strongly about everyone on social media reposting this man's past failures and asking others to discuss it!

I don't understand why he had to resign when he clearly demonstrates he understands that the Lord gives second chances for those who are repentant! Had he been caught and he continued over and over again without repenting and refusing Godly counsel, i would have understood. Hes humble and his sin is not out there in public, and he's accepted his wrong and repented why resign? I like the Pastor a lot, and im from South Africa and I'm a minister of the gospel too. He's really a great example of humility and repentance! I think he should undergo godly counselling and return!!!
They said it was something from a while ago. I wonder if he might have fell short sexually during the time he wasn’t married after his first wife died. Not sure but that just came to mind.
If that’s the case, he probably just tried to move past it after he got remarried but his conscience probably wouldn’t let him or thinking about the fact it could be exposed one day made him say let’s just go ahead and finally deal with it now.

Most churches never preach of Gods judgment because if they did they wouldn’t make as much money. God is a God of justice. He fell into sin and his prayer in Psalm 51 shows his broken heart. He was hiding his sin but humbled himself, repented and turned around when confronted.

@@Wayroad35 I don't doubt for I did not sit in his lying church trying to buy my way into Gods graces. It was not my tithing that helped him purchase an airplane or a mansion. But the Lord does give us discernment; "you shall know them by their fruits" and this pastor knows what's coming to those who do not follow His commandments. The Lord bears long with sinners but WILL NOT excuse sin; God is a God of Justice. This is what's missing in a lot of these celebrity pastors churches. And I will always call it out no matter what you or anyone else says for the Lord is who I answer to.
