Hi! A couple things I’m hoping you can help me with. First, my mashed cassava was very sticky. I had to keep adding oil to get it off my hands and form it. Why do you think that happened? The left over cassava I made into cassava balls but when I tried to fry them they got swollen and then burst and the inside was wet and sticky. Help?!
Your cassava probably was boiled too soft.

May i ask what purpose does the beaten egg play in the mixture?
It binds everything together. Prevents it from falling apart while frying. If you are allergic to eggs. You can try it without just use very little oil or use an airfryer if you have one.

I realise when i boil fresh eggs it come out too soft but not so fresh eggs boil perfect. Boil them for 3 mins or until they crack. Hope it helps

If I over boiled my cassava how can I correct it?
You would have to boil more cassava or potatoes and add to it.
Hey so i tried making this...😭 it came out perfectly up until frying...i tried the egg method and flour only...made sure oil was hot enough but as soon as i put it in it started to melt in the oil😞
@___UPJ_Army___ maybe your cassava was too soft, I'm not sure what the problem was if you used the egg to bind it.

I used to make this so well. Now I don't anymore they don't come out well. I'm not sure if it's the flour I'm rolling with or the pan. My days are over for this.
