in this video you will show :
1- creating 3D model bed .
2- creating cover by cloth .

When I start the cloth simulation, when it collides with the mattress, it clips through the corners and some of the edges. How were you able to do this without any sort of clipping?

first make sure from (length & width segs.) for the cover
second make sure you have a same setting in simulation parameters & project properties .

sorry,i don't have any idea about that , but you can use gaming engines like (Unity3D , Unreal Engine ) that engines can given perfect result .
There's no doubt you're professional, but if you want to make a tutorial it must be a bit slower. I liked how you use Snap Toggle modelling the bed but unfortunately can't keep your pace.

Hi I have 2 objects in editable poly, when i click one object the other object gets locked and i cant unlock it without going to freeze and unfreeze in layers. how can i stop objects from locking themselves like that? thanks

hay harry i think when we work in editable poly - we never can select any other object without come back and deselect the object ........... because when u convert a object in poly , then u select the polygons , edges or vertex ....so tell me how can u select other objects without come back from command without deselect object.....

when i click on Simulate local after adding the other objects into object proporties it doesnt seem to move downwards like your duvet does on the screen?

just click on (earth) and it will be -980
and make sure the the gravity is lighting .

You probably didn't select a collision object.
I just did the exact same thing. Forgot the set the collision objects then reset state.
it is not enough the material of fabric i think
