Prophet Muhammad said freeing slave is a good deed.
He used to buy slaves and free them. He encouraged freeing slaves.
He forbade enslaving free people.
He would let the slave be free if he/she is beaten/mistreated by someone.
Slavery is in the Bible. Slavery has been norm throughout human history. It was necessary for survival. And slavery in Islam is nothing like the western concept of slavery. A slave in Islam has more rights than an European housemaid. It's not even slavery, it’s more like servant/maid
Please increase reading about Islam and you will have the correct view about Islam. Please don't pick one info rather expand your reading and research from the knowledged muslim scholars. May God Almighty open your heart to accept Islam
Equivocating transatlantic slavery with islamic conception of slavery i.e. war prisoners shows ur ignorance. Moreover, even if the distortion of islamic conception of slavery and slander u commented was true, then saying it is disturbing is at best an emotional argument and doesn't undermines truthfulness of islam in any way.
