this is my final travel vlog. I filmed it between 2nd - 5th may, so over two months have passed! I can't believe it... although I visited both Kyoto and Osaka after this, I made the decision to not vlog while I was there. I was struggling a lot mentally, and unfortunately that meant I didn't really get to do the things I had planned (had to cancel my trip to Nara, etc.).. the last 10 days of my trip are difficult to recall, and I do wish I could go back and change that - but in the moment, I was so exhausted and felt so overwhelmed. I will definitely return to Japan someday, so that I can see all of the things I missed this time around (:
nonetheless, I hope you enjoy this cosy vlog 💗 I had a lovely, peaceful, and renewing time in nature, and definitely wish I could've stayed there longer! my time in the countryside felt so brief, compared to all of the city sightseeing I made time for. I felt so at home here c:
my time in the countryside also reminded me of all of the things I treasure at home too, like my books, journal, trees, cosy bedroom, and daily walks. when editing this footage, I was reminded of how lucky I am at home & how thankful I should be for my beautiful surroundings in wales! ⛰️
I have some exciting updates to share with you in the coming videos, but I still need to plan & organise all of those... I'm really hoping I can stay consistent with posting from now on, since I am home and have finally finished sorting through all of my travel footage!

i really emphasise with how you felt during this time. i'm currenrtly living in the azores working on a project and i've never felt lonelier. i feel so out of my depth and guilty for not appreciating the beauty around me. it's so hard not letting expectations get the better of you!!

Always do things that make you feel comfortable. There's no need to apologise for it - comfort and well-being are top priority in every moment of our lives. People often get stressed out doing things just to please others, the society, friends, etc - it's a mistake.
I often ask myself if I am feeling good and comfortable, if not, then I will find the source of it. Sometimes its due to sleep or not eating well and sometimes it's a tightness on certain part of my body. I will just breathe and relax and let go of the tensions. Well-being at every moment of our lives is worth more than anything that money can buy.

Despite the loneliness, did you feel safe in these places alone? 🧡
there were some moments where I felt more conscious of my surroundings, especially in the city areas (i.e men would frequently ask me out and then linger around even after I said no), but I didn't ever feel threatened or worried about it, it was more so just inconvenient. lots of stares, obviously that's expected (especially in rural areas), but a lot of the time people are just curious as to why you're there. also, the countries I travelled to are all considered safe for women travelling alone, so that was a big factor too 🖤
