Mine is so light that I'm beginning to wonder is there something missing. I say that because others have said that their mics were heavier than what they had expected. I do know that some UA-camrs' mics sometime have one pcb at other times there will be two. I'm not sure how that affects the performance of the mic. Anyway, thanks for the reply.
you can't even do what you where trying to show poperly, the way you put the mic in will lead to it breaking the shock-proof stand and the way you put the cable in will lead to a dodgy connection from mic to XLR

use a power Phantom to make it even better
You only need the phantom cable if your using a laptop

I don't think you got the front of the mic. in the right place....the front is where the little press gear on the xlr cable is....
