I wish I had the money to renovate Dickie's place. It should be updated and preserved as an iconic part of Jamaican history. The minister of tourism claiming to turn St. Thomas into the Ochi of the East maybe things will begin to look up again for Dickie's. There are so many hidden gems in Jamaica. The ALL INCLUSIVE hotels have stifled the growth and fruitfulness of these small businesses.
Wow, this man hospitality is exceptional,, now i really wants to go there,,,, and he dont look 80,, Portland is Jamaican treasure!!!

When he said that "this generation dont know the use of a dining table I felt that.
I remember someone did a video at Dickie’s about 15-20 years ago and it was quite pleasant at the time. Cooking there is not a rushed thing and that was understood then as it is perceived now. The experience was enjoyable and received great reviews when it was aired. It is encouraged that one should take their time and a good thing should not be rushed, as what Dickie has always tried to reflect. Its still nice to see the place in operation till this day.

What a beautiful scene of the pier in Portland. I could sit there all evening or make this a weekly get-away. If that was in a Western nation it would be bustling with restaurants, live shows, and sightseeers.

Duckies should remain the same as it is for historic purposes it should be held in high esteem as part of jamaica he is clean he doesn't have weed in his mouth his service is 5 star you don't really say how the food taste but it's well presented people of today want dirty places and people representing jamaica as weed destination such as rasvkitchen which is a shame although we were no way rich people no laziness and dirty people in our comunity
I mentioned the lobster being good. I agree it should be a landmark after so many years of service
