Fun fact alliexpress rainbow high heads are actually factory samples usually the samples have little alterations before they choose the final face painting they like so in a way you have a prototype head cause there are actually a lot of sample dolls are there so like if the hair is a bit different or the facial screening is done differently than it's a sample off of alliexpress.
There are listing with 10 day shipping now, some shops won't say they are 10 days but will be regardless, I bought a set of necklaces and they came in a week!

i find it inch resting. my first skyler (who was my first RH doll) didn't have the iridescent/metallic nylon at all(and out of the 3 i had, she had the worst hair) my second one did have it and it looked like your previous skyler although her hair didn't feel fried for me though, but it was very poofy. my third one however does still have the iridescent/metallic fiber, but only on the more teal blue parts, the really light blue, and navy blue parts are solid.
I'm glad you can buy seperate heads because when I was fixing my Skylar's hair I ended up ruining it because I had to cut bit off but it dosent look right

So my friend courtly jester suggested I go to Lowe’s where I found them! The shelf itself is $12, then you buy the L brackets and proper screws. I ended up spending 60 but theirs a lot of space on the shelves
I just bought 2 lose rainbow high heads (poppy and sunny) and a body for $10 for each piece on aliexpress to make a full custom rainbow high doll. It wasn’t decent priced and now I won’t feel bad making a custom cause I’m just buying lose parts. 😅if the heads are better than my dolls though, I may swap them out too and customize the heads that aren’t so perfect.

A heating pad also works in softening the head. I did some eye swaps.
