Nice that you added the synthetic reed demonstration. I play synethetic reeds on sax, but the difference of newer snythetic reeds and cane reeds are wayy less than the one in your video. For me, most people can't really tell a difference between newer synthetic reeds and cane reeds. The new reeds I play are the "Legere French Cut" (which just came out 20 days ago)
Hello, thank you for your comment :) . I used a Legere European Cut in this video, I didn't know about the new French cut :-o . Are they really different ?
@@Another-Cool-Thing I dont play clarinet, but I did play the Legere signature cut before I played the french cut. It was good, but it was pretty bright, and most people were able to tell it was plastic if it were side by side. But the french cut is definitely a lot darker and more centered. I feel like it is a bit less edgier. Most of my friends that were able to tell the signature apart from the cane actually guessed wrong when it came to french cut vs cane.
@@Another-Cool-Thing A very very good saxophonist on youtube, "V&A TV", has a short (his fifth newest one) comparing the french cut to the cane reed. Its very hard to tell which one it is!
Subscribe if you want to see other cool things :)
I do! Appreciate ur content
Oooh i really like the synthetic/wood combo
Yeah, it's brighter and I think it sounds more like a saxophone :)

Amazing ! I'll check them, thanks a lot :D
That's actually really good and informative content! Keep it up!
Thank you ! 💛
Are you Mediterranean or Armenian by any chance because the duduk is used by them
No, I just like its sound :)
That's the first thing I thought of. Duduk is a brilliant ancient Armenian instrument that uses reed.
You sound french are you ? I didn't know that there was this little thing in so much instruments
