Found a 2001 with 65k miles. The drive! That's what sold me on it it's so fun. I work at a dealer so my price would be about 3200.00 previous owner was a nice old lady who rarely drove it and maintenance it regularly. Has new tires too

And look how long he he held the key to start it this guy doesn't know anything about cars only selling them

They are still under $3000 except the modified ones or any running with under 100k miles. If it weren't for them looking so ugly body wise, or always having tan interiors with golden outsides, I'm sure they would be worth more. Engines and trans in them are also very bullet proof. Turbos and Torque converters are the only things that go out, just like any other turbo car or automatic car. Keep the belt changed properly like any normal car and you won't bend valves. Let it cool down after abusing it to preserve the turbo oil seal. Don't rev it past 5500-6000 (there's no power or torque there) and the car will last as along as you want.

I just paid $150 for a running 03 A6 2.7 bi-turbo quattro. It needs new tires and a valve cover gasket mechanically. Interior is a 6/10 but i cant argue the price. I can literally scrap it for $350 lol.

+ME-DIC! They look great, they drive great and they have all wheel drive. If you can live with the spendier service, you've got a great car that is still more of a complete package than most new cars.

What? Seattle? XD i live in Seattle as I was typing this I heard that. I found an A6 1999 for $2400 and it looked really nice. I'm searching for a first car I take my drive test Thursday!

Get a buyer's inspection at the Audi dealer before you buy and if it passes, you just stole a car. $2400 is nothing for a problem-free A6.

My only argument with you is a bad car is always worth scrap value at minimum. Which with a good battery should be $300. If it runs snd you can drive it at least 60mph its worth bare minimum $1000.00.

Audi A6's that are a few years old are one of the best buys in the world these days. They look great, drive beautifully and don't cost much at all to buy.

Are they reliable even at 150k+ miles

    • @everycarSeattle

They'll run forever if you can tolerate check engine lights and every possible electric malfunction.

Sniffin, well, it depends what you mean by reliable. That is a very loosely used concept especially where Audi’s are concerned. This statement will be seconded by any Audi owner.

Transmission and turbos are prone to failure, valve covers constantly leak

    • @hoppy760

I have a v6 2.8. It’s been reliable but oil leaks are constant, and timing belt is recommended to be replaced every 100k. It’s a pricey job. Lots of labor involved. Front number and radiator need to be removed. $1000 plus.

If it's The Turbo 2.7,Maybe U Need to Ask A Mech. How Expensive This Car is To Repair.Between the Turbos Usually Expiring Way Too Early for A German Car to What it Costs to Do A T.Belt Serv.,W/ Basically Having To Remove Frt.Bumper & Core Support., Causing the Belt,Pulleys & Camshaft Seals ,Which will Need Repl.@ Each T.Belt Serv.+ SEVERAL OTHER PARTS THAT U WOULDN' T EXPECT A GERMAN CAR TO GO SOUTH AT SUCH EARLY PERIODS.AN A6 2.8-3.2 NO TURBO WAGON MAY BE A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE ,BUT INTAKE JOURNALS ARE BIGGER FOR MORE H.P. W/ NO TURBO REPAIRS TO ENDURE TOO EARLY.

you don't want this car if it's a Tiptronic. Its probably one of the worst cvt's ever made. And Im not hating on the car, I have one in a similar spec but with a 6 speed!

    • @griffinfairchild
      @griffinfairchild 2 роки тому +1

if you have quattro, it doesn't have a cvt. big difference between tiptronic and fwd cvt. The 2.7t has Quattro and a 5 speed auto.
