My two cruises were in small inside cabins; first with three adults was definitely a bad idea waking up hitting head on pullman bed above mine. I still will say I enjoyed having a cabins which were on the same deck as the pool and buffet. Not needing the elevator or walking up and down more than three decks to get to various clubs and dining rooms was a time saver.
I like a cabin that is only a couple of flights of stairs from the buffet. So nice too take the stairs rather than have too wait for a elevator. Had a nice cabin on Harmony of the seas, deck eight close too the elevators and central park was a few steps away.
Aft interior cabin is my preference. Pitch darkness and close to the food. However, I always choose guarantee for price savings.
