I have almost overcome all my distractions and reduced my social media time to less than an hour. Being a college student I study for around 8 hours on Saturday and Sunday and around 4-5 hours on week days. I can proudly say I have been quite consistent on this☀️ Mission 2026 first attempt ❤️
Gentle and true talk, without creating any Agean stable for aspirants. After clearing competitive exam each individual just make a makeup that he or she was studying 17 hours , which frustrated the rest of new aspirants those who are struggling to make a magestic rountain.
I was studying late at night . But then I realised that it will impact my overall health and I wasn't that productive. But waking up early in the morning gave me alot of time and increased my productivity substantially....I think circadian rhythm of our body too plays its role .
Sir , please provide a practical daily routine for working person also. I have to spend my productive study hour in the office. Your words really matters and give courage to move forward.
Wake up nd 3 hours ... make it gold. Taake half an hour or 45 mins break then sit for another 3 hours. By this u already hv done 6 hours take an hour break and then go for other 3 hours . Now at last give 2 hours for planning tomoro and revising what u did today also revise and get pictures sp to relate them .. go for walk or chill etc etc.
My daily routine - 1. Wake up at 5 AM, drink warm water & relax. At 5:15, I go on my terrace & do meditation & yoga till 5:45 & 10 minutes walk. 2. From 6-9 I study nonstop, & I study the subject which is more rewarding & require optimum level of focus bcs i believe in "Eat the frog first". 3. 9 to 10, freshen up, a light breakfast then again study from 10 to 1. 4. From 1 to 1:30 I hv my lunch & from 1:30 to 2:15, I take rest or nap 5. Back to study at 2:30 till 5 p.m 6. From 5 to 6 I go for a long walk (2-3 km), 7. Back to study at 6:30 till 9 (subject which require less focus or the subject which I supremely strong at.) 8. From 9 to 9:30 dinner then after 5-10 minutes of walk then I go on my bed with a book (not related to UPSC), bcs I love reading non fictional books specially which are based on International relations, internal security & spirituality & about 10:30 I get to sleep. This is my daily routine sir & I hardly miss it. As far as phone is concerned, I don't use it at all bcs there is nothing in my phone to use. I stopped using Facebook in 2019, I never used Instagram in my life, i stopped using Twitter in 2022. So there is nothing to use in my phone. Today is Sunday that's why I watch some guidance related or study related videos other wise i hardly use my phone infact 22 out 24 hours my phone is on flight mode. The passive study you were talking about, is the hardest thing for me, I try to do it but it's quite tough for me. Thank you sir.

I have so much family pressure, can’t even focus, then I rethink about whether to prepare for this exam or not, or just try a different exam or look for a menial job.
I think a small amount of exercise/gym/sports for 1-1.5 hrs where you don't think about anything related to the study materials would be beneficial, as it resets your mind and prepares you for the next day. Also It makes you less exhausting
