  • The Federal Reserve will keep its benchmark rate steady, a sign that inflation has not yet come down to the targeted rate. CBS News' Jill Schlesinger and Jo Ling Kent look ahead to what this means for Americans.

I'm 55 and earn about $450k annually, only save 30% in HYSA's. I've been reading a lot of articles mentioning how worthless 'cash savings' are in this current unstable economy, thus my question; do you suggest I invest in real estate, stocks or gold?

a consistent 5% return from the bank and US securities sounds better to me than worrying about losing your money if the stock market falls, also you should consider financial advisory to help mitigate risks

IMO, the market needs several days of strong performance to signal that the downturn might be over; it's a time to be largely, if not entirely, in cash

Truth is, market instability makes DIY risky. To succeed in investing, you don't need to find the next NVDA. Opt for top-notch ETFs, dividend aristocrats, and a trusted advisor. This has helped yield my $250k to a potential 7figure portfolio in barely 2 years.

''Karen Lynne Chess'' is top of my list. She is regarded as a genius in her field and well experienced with over two decades of experience. I suggest you research her further on the web, can't disclose much here.

It's not inflation. It IS corporate greed. Don't believe me, though. Look at their profits: Higher than ever, to match prices.

Yep corporations suddenly had an epiphany after the pandemic and realized they could raise prices however high they want. Has nothing to do with the fact that M2 grew by more than 40% and rising costs are forcing corporations to prematurely raise prices in light of future higher costs. The evil capitalists are all the plight of the workers!
In case it wasn’t obvious this was sarcasm to underscore just how asinine your claim is. Inflation is an expansion of the monetary and credit supply and comes from only two places: the government and their sponsored fractional reserve banks

The Fed should have something to stimulate the Corporations to stop price gouging, buy back stocks, and overpaying their CEOs...
