I was about to calculate this MAD, but I found that MAD has two different definitions: 1.) The same as defined in this video; 2.) Defined as just another name for MAE (Mean Absolute Error). In addition, the acronym may lead some users to expand it as "Mean Absolute Difference", but this is yet another different animal.

What if the Question is something like ... "which machine is operating well?" and was given 3 set of numbers to get the MAD of each.
machine 1, MAD is 10
machine 2, MAD is 4.8
machine 3, MAD is 1.2
so if its lower, does it mean that it is better or I mean the right answer? Thanks
