      I used on leather seats. It dislodged the dirt! But beware of holding direct contact and using an attachment for scrubbing; it’s so hot it took up the leather paint. Close to the surface but in a diffused motion works okay though. Scrub in between sprays.

One thing to keep in mind is you always want to let the machine cool off for a few minutes before you refill it with water because it will be very hot inside there and you could burn your hand if you're not careful. Hey Katharina,
      Thank you so much for watching the video and for your inquiry. To answer your question I would not recommend putting anything other than water in the steam shot. It was designed to work with water only. Putting chemicals in there you would void the manufacturer warranty and risk the chance on ruining the machine. You could always put the chemical you want to use on the surface you are cleaning first and then use the steam shot right over top of it. Hopefully than answer helped. I just ordered and received mine from bissell (the deluxe one) and I timed it. It lasts 2 minutes and 20 seconds before it runs out of water. I get puddles of water plus steam. Is this normal?

    • @mybatterhalf6614
      @mybatterhalf6614  3 роки тому +1

      Hey KK,
      Thank you for watching the video and for your inquiry. I've had the Steamshot for awhile now and have noticed that sometimes it lasts 10 min and sometimes it lasts 2 min. It all depends on what you are cleaning and how aggressive you get with it. Mine does leave a water residue but not "puddles of water". If yours is leaving actual puddles then you may want to check and make sure your lid is on securely. To tighten the lid you have to push down and turn to tighten it. I hope this helped. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Please consider subscribing if you haven't already. Again thank you

      Well, I don't see why not. It heats up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit, so it would disinfect the plate as well as clean it. Put a little dab of Dawn dish detergent on the plate before using the steam cleaner, and you'll get double the power!

    Thank you for this start up video! A few extra tips/try’s for anyone that has this or the deluxe steam shot (that’s what I have)
    1. You can spray/coat the area you’re trying steam with your preferred cleaner first and it’ll make the whole cleaning process even more “effective”.
    2. Now hear me out, if you got this to try and eliminate harsh or toxic chemicals while cleaning, that’s fine, over the years I have personally (successfully too, gotten rid of some super harsh things) scaled down to using mainly vinegar, baking soda, borax, dawn dish soap, natural enzyme cleaners, alcohol and oxiclean alternatives to bleach. If you got this because you’re trying to save your body from more pain while cleaning (hello, me at 31 because multiple injuries) It all depends on the situation. Personally, the Biokleen Bac-out enzyme cleaner concentrate is my favorite all purpose cleaner especially since I have pets. Look into it, it’s phenomenal. I don’t use store bought harsh cleaners for the majority of my cleaning. (Although I do love and sometimes use bartenders keeper/friend whatever it’s called). If you spray the area you’re trying to clean first, let’s say for example, the upper parts of my top loader washing machine, aka the detergent “drawer” and all the surroundings. Just steam cleaning it alone takes more effort and slower concentration than when I spray it down with either the Biokleen enzyme cleaner or my dawn/vinegar/water solution first. If it’s especially harsh staining or mildew moldy then I go the scrubby action first, so baking soda or borax solutions. It all depends on the area you’re cleaning and what you’re trying to achieve. I live in FL with hard water and I have two dogs and bad shoulders from years of weightlifting. Steam cleaning saves me a lot of pain. I have the Rubbermaid power reveal scrubber thing, I love it for a lot of things, I also love my steam cleaner for a lot of things.
    3. Pre “cleaning” saturating
    /wetting your surface really can help. No you’re not actually cleaning it beforehand, I just mean to saturate it with the proper cleaner so that once you add the power of steam cleaning it will double its power. I don’t personally use any harsh chemicals but to each their own. It kind of seems like people on the internet have formed this collective idea that the bissell steam shots are to only be used with absolutely nothing else to help aid cleaning. While bissell may promote that, (marketing is lovely ain’t it?) there’s nothing stating you can’t combine this with your favorite cleaning products in order to eliminate the need for extreme physical exertion such as hard scrubbing. You do need to be careful because the steam or water can cause the cleaning product to possibly “splash” up onto you, so if you’re trying to keep using those crazy toxic harsh cleaners or straight up bleach, that may not be the best idea unless you’ve got your PPE in order. But overall if you’re wearing the right gloves and eye protection you can do a whole lot with a few natural products, some time, and this little steamer.

    CAUTION: IF YOU BOUGHT YOURS USED...LIKE OFF EBAY ETC.............before you use it on any fabrics run a full 6.6 ounces of water through it "first" . Let it heat up pull the trigger and let it spray into a metal sink or bucket non stop till it is empty. Like the old steam irons they can be rusty inside and you can get rusty steam coming out. After it cools "completely" pour more water into it and swish it around and pour it out from the top. Always leave the top OFF after using so it can dry out inside , less chance of it rusting.

      Poor results with it. I used it on the glass on my oven door( which is new so not very dirty) and it didn't remove the few grease splatters I had on the glass. Not worth the money.
      Hoping the clothes steamer at least works. I haven't tried it yet. Let's see if it does better than a hairdryer at removing wrinkles.

      Cheryl,
      I'm sorry about that. We actually haven't used it on glass yet primarily because the attachment didn't come in the box for some reason. However, in every other capacity we have been impressed with it's performance. As far as oven cleaning there is a product called "Spray way". It's an oven cleaner on steroids! I have already done a review video on it and am doing a part 2 video which will be uploaded tomorrow. Check it out. Again, sorry that the Steam shot wasn't what you expected. Let me know how the wrinkle steamer works.
