I remember seeing you play In Bloom live with Neck Deep in February of 2018 in Philly and I thought you were awesome! I've played Tenor sax for about 10 years but I've needed to work on playing stuff by ear for a long time. That was difficult for me because I don't listen to a lot of Jazz in my spare time, but your covers are just what I needed man. Now I can listen to music I love in a new way and improve while doing it. You rock man!
Much love bro!! Don’t feel like you HAVE to listen to jazz. Idc what anyone says. No good ever comes out of forcing yourself to listen to music you’re just not into. But you can still learn! Granted - studying jazz will teach you great technique and help to play over changes. I think it’s a great tool but I also don’t think it’s healthy or productive to force yourself to listen to a style that’s just not your cup of tea! You can play anything and still be great!!

Can please you teach my neighbor how to play sax? He sucks. I hear his garbage everyday, as he feels that it's socially acceptable to just go out in the street and play for the whole neighborhood to hear. (Some people have to work nights and therefor sleep in the afternoon). Maybe if he was half-decent I wouldn't mind. Good stuff, man.
