@WWEDIVASROX In the books, Tyler is a werewolf but I was stunned when it seemed that way for Mayor Lockwood in the TV show.
All that werewolf strength just to die by a neck snap from a vampire..
he was untriggered they have little superhuman strength. werewolf strength weakest to strongest.

2: triggered werewolf
3:moonlight/evolved werewolf
4:Hybrid
5:Original hybrid (hope & klaus)
i think he's a werewolf because remember tyler had an accident because of the high pitch noise the invention made when john activated it, and he said humans can't hear it at all which obviously made the humans think since the mayor was affected by it, he had to be a vampire and mistook him for one...i don't know just a guess haha
At least the tomb vampire got have a small piece of revenge
@pirinioak actually we don't know that john is dead. cause everyone has been hinting that he will be in the second season. the writers have said that david anders will definitely be making an appearance in the season 2 premiere.... people have been hinting that john is still alive.

Carol liz.and John had it coming.they were so obsessed with trying to find the vampires .that they didnt even consider the posibility that werewolves might have been walking amongst them. They picked the bad ones to die.and they Lost the good ones in the process.serves them right
@pirinioak well i'm pretty sure... i mean the vamp did snap his neck :/ and the TVD cast have been saying he's dead... and maybe they didn't show all the vamps - maybe it was a random one that was never shown.
@pirinioak nope he's dead. the guy trying to get up the stairs while the fire is out is just a random vampire trying to escape.

I don’t think so Tyler’s dad seemed like he knew of his gene but he never unlocked his curse his little brother aka, Mason unlocked his curse. Tyler unlocked his when Caroline passed in the car crash
@@LovesEverythingCorner Well technically mason trigger his curse by accidentally Killing his best friend, then Tyler triggered his curse by accidentally Killing his former classmate named Sarah

okay so if the gilbert device effects werewolves too then how did george lockwood escape that to free katherine from the tomb?? shouldn't he have gotten caught along with the tomb vampires?
