To put it basically, they are war veterans. Dorothy is that one great grandpa who never told you his experiences of a war, and lives his days quietly and menacingly. Snow white is a determined multi-tour warfighter who clings onto her beliefs. Rapunzel wants to remember the past and honor the dead. While scarlet is a semi-retiree that spends most of her time farming(remember the cattle and stuff) but still answers to the call of duty. The ways they cope with it wildly differ, which really makes me appreciate them even more
Before her mind shift she was a rival with Scarlet(in that time before falling in the alcohol and the actual personality, she was someone who prioritize the training), Snow White before being a Kuudere...she was optimist and cheerfull and was a weapon crafting fanatic. (the only remains of the Smul White was her food tastes) . Rapunzel was a perfect example of a saint in the past. Dorothy and Scarlet became more near since Liliweis death but they cut ties after Overzone incident.(Snow White, Rapunzel and Scarlet are in bad terms with Dorothy actually)
This is a completely different dorothy we met from over zone. At first i was like" why is she being a prick" considering none of the other pilgrims treat us like this. However after going through part 1, i can finally understand her pain. It makes me grateful to Rapunzel, Scarlet and Snow White for keeping their humanity and still being kind to us, while they too suffer from the past times.
Yeah Overzone really puts Dorothy's attitude into perspective, she was someone that wanted to be a role model, a Goddess of Victory, and loved humans the most but was betrayed in the worst possible way by what she gave her all to protect. Can't wait for Over Zone part 2 to see how things continue from where we left off and how low the Ark will sink.
