PUSSYFOOT The Way That You Do It TOM MIX EXTENDED VIDEO

A massive hit downunder in 1977 for former Aussie Mick Flinn (The Mixtures) and Donna Jones who named their act Pussyfoot. In the age before the internet, the imaging was all about the beautiful singer and so many thought the act was just Donna but Mick was the creative force behind the act. 'The Way You Do It' (without the 'that' in the title) was issued in Britain in 1975 but tanked. Australia's Countdown music program played the sexy clip and the song stormed up the charts soon after its late 76 release. Spending several weeks at #1, 'The Way That You Do It' was one of the biggest hits of 1977 (runner up behind Julie Covington's 'Don't cry for me Argentina' )and even spawned a follow up 'Ooh Ja Ja' but it only made #20 nationally. A reworked version of the first single appeared on a second LP this time the track was labelled 'Ooh Na Na Hiya'. Elements of both are utilised skillfully in the Tom Mix mp3 that I have used as the audio base on this post and I've used the original film clip to re-edit into an extended one.
