The original lineup can never be replaced. Yates, Pettit, the Wright brothers. Pure power. Wish i had this show on audio! Sounds amazing!!
youtube to mp3 google it
Here it is!
with the dry ice :-) music great - still never seen them :-(
This is by far the best Nephs gig footage on UA-cam. It's that unique transition moment between Dawn razor and the more evocative sound of 88...still spaghetti metal apocalypse vibe but also more atmospheric too, more guitar fx than the following tour, more raw, more experimental.. Awesome
That night was the most dry ice I had seen in my life. When they played the Marquee earlier in the year they were told they couldn't use it.
I was at the Marquee gig and it was full of dry ice!!! And talc.... 😆 I could barely see them play and I was to the side in the lighting booth....
@@SuperSamantina Was that a Charing Cross Road gig? I was at all those, including the "secret" gig. I was talking
about an early one at the Wardour Street Marquee. No dry ice at all. It was strange to see them like that.
Thinking about it, it must have '86, as I missed the NYE one at the turn to '87 and I saw them there before that.
30 years ago, god damn we got old...
I was there with Nick the lighting engineer...... this is brilliant!!!!
Nick Foot from Harlow?
Only time I have heard/seen a live version of Slowkill - wish they still played it live
Neph at their best! Nice vid.
Thankx! Thankx! Thankx! Trees Come Down, EPIC!!!
There and loved it so much, loved the pyramid mosh.😍
I was at that gig. Brilliant night!
sounds like all out of time for Endomoniada - but probably prior to LP release and trialling arrangments - great though and better to hear live raw versions
Beavis and Butthead would have loved this group
Great Video. The first ? is "Vet for the insane". The second ? is "Phobia".
I was there! 😎
The song after Slowkill is Vet for the Insane. The song after Volcane is Phobia.
I wonder if the reason he doesn't play anything from the Dawnrazor album anymore (except the title track and, rarely Vet for the insane) is because the lyrics are less esoteric or sophisticated as what followed? If he doesn't dig those songs anymore I would be interested to hear some revamped into the ZOON style. He said for years after Elyzium that Dawnrazor was his favourite album.
i think its that Dawnrazor and Vet just fit better int with the rest of the later songs more...Volcane, Dust et al are gonna sound shit without the twangy Yates-Wright duelling guitars = the new members can't play like them. TBH I'm glad they're not out there butchering all the old stuff, its already a bit too Karaoke today for me..
True, but I would not mind if they were revamped to fit the current sound, I would even find it interesting if they did Nefilim style versions of some of the older stuff@@ian_occultist
@@ian_occultist Agree
"Garreyy, where are ya?!"
Is it an early version of Endemoniada, or do they mess up the beginning?
just posted this myself - sounds like all out of time for Endomoniada - but probably prior to LP release and trialling arrangments - great though and better to hear live raw versions
Do you know which guitar paul wright used?
Paul’s using a Gretsch Tennessean
Need to bring goth back
I was there & they were garbage as a support band...but hey ho the main band were awesome.
