Yep, it's a French song originally performed by French singer Indila. The lyrics reference the Metro; that's the subway system in Paris. I love Diana's version. She's such a charismatic performer on top of having that incredible voice and being a lovely young woman. I'd gladly go see her live should the stars align. Jen, I looked through your history and see reactions to Babymetal, LOVEBITES, and BAND-MAID, but another part of my pantheon of Japanese bands is Wagakki Band. When you can, I highly recommend them as they're highly entertaining, highly skilled musicians who always have unique live shows on the scale of Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I think they're the only rock or metal group to play Budokan in 2021 aside from Babymetal. My wife and I call the eight members of the band the musical Avengers. You should check out the original version of Derniere Danse by the French singer, Indila, who is very popular in France. But don’t compare the two versions, enjoy them each in their own right. While Diana’s cover is Earthy and hits you in the gut with her low contralto timbre, Indila’s version grabs you by the shoulders and takes you soaring with her glass smooth high soprano voice. Both ladies versions are wonderful and experiencing them both will give you a richer understanding of the song itself.

When you can, I highly recommend them as they're highly entertaining, highly skilled musicians who always have unique live shows on the scale of Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I think they're the only rock or metal group to play Budokan in 2021 aside from Babymetal. My wife and I call the eight members of the band the musical Avengers. I'm going to recommend their show opener, "Overture," along with their song, "Ame Nochi Kanjouron," both of which are in one video from 2018. Here's a link.

You should check out the original version of Derniere Danse by the French singer, Indila, who is very popular in France. But don’t compare the two versions, enjoy them each in their own right. While Diana’s cover is Earthy and hits you in the gut with her low contralto timbre, Indila’s version grabs you by the shoulders and takes you soaring with her glass smooth high soprano voice. Both ladies versions are wonderful and experiencing them both will give you a richer understanding of the song itself.
I would love to check it out! I know a thing or three about celebrating different singers! My favorite band (Nightwish) had three. The last singer is hands down my favorite singer of all time. She’s even tattooed really big on my leg!!!

Since I started listening to Dimash (February 2017 I guess), just stopped watching & listening any artist who is not talented. Only live performances.
And want to share with you a link to the very first performance of Diana at the TV show - The voice kids Russia. She was 13 years old and already talented artist.
But...not a single judge turned it's fucking chair. Because those "pop singers" just didn't what to do with the kid who does jodle and is more talented than they were.

This is one of Diana's most popular songs, you can see why. We are so lucky to have such incredibly talented young artists today. Diana brings so much drama and passion, her use of the 'empty space' is most notable, she draws us in and builds the tension, then sweeps us away. As to this 'place' with no hurt, this is how Angelina Jordan describes how she feel when she sings, these young ladies invite us to visit this place with them, we are truly blessed...
