The reaction I've been waiting for. Your opinion really matters to me, Alex. You are one of the few legit reactors for me, especially when it comes to music. I think MLD 's intention to use Korean in HORI7ON's debut song is to help the group break the Korean market. But if you listen to the entire album, it has English songs and Filipino songs too. So I guess there is something for everyone, which means they are eyeing for a wider market.

@@reinerickaanat467 Marcus is the most experienced actually and he also went to music lessons including vocal trainings. Reyster ofcourse is one of the most experienced musicians in the group,but him being the main rapper of the group just sits right to me,his tone when he raps is so good.

For me, i think it’s because they are a global grp so if they debut in korea they should have korean in their lyrics because their management said they are a merge of ppop and kpop so they have english korean and tagalog songs mix in their songs

I've built the same curiosity as you. And it's giving me this excitement, the excitement of knowing what else could there be in their journey. They're aiming for a global Pop title and having Korean Pipz as the their producer, Korea is a really good Market for Starters, knowing you have a lot of Great Kpop Groups, and you can Only think of how Korean fans built that fandom each of them Have and go Worldwide, they're maybe wanting to follow the same Track. It's awesome and spectacular witnessing Hori7on catching their Audiences Taste of Music and Giving that "Refreshing" music. They started it with "Lovey Dovey" which kinda' give the same Vibe. They won the survival reality competition here in the Philippines. Collab between ABS-CBN and MLD Entertainment. Out of 62 boys, they emerged as the top 7 based from votes of the people and group was named HORI7ON

Thanks Alex. This is a great catchy song by HORI7ON 🤗. And yeah, Reyster is really scoring in the Rap dept. KY is just pure visuals, he can be a model. Right now most of the fan base are Filipino and the guys are still learning Korean. I've been watching some of the vlogs, they're doing pretty good at it. They may just use more of the Korean language in their songs in the future once they have mastered the language. Just saying. 🤩

I believe it was ABS CBN who scouted these young aspirants from different provinces of the country and abroad while some are from their homegrown talents under Starhunt. Out of 1000+ who auditioned, 62 made it to Dream Maker. ABS is the biggest and very influential network in the Phils. and most well-known Filipino artists and successful survival/reality shows were from this network. One of the reasons why Dream Maker was very successful in the PH is because it was handled by ABS. MLD was very lucky to have partnered with the right network that knows how to scout talents around the country while ABS get to learn how the Korean training system works.
Speaking of ABS talents, Sandara Park of 2ne1 who became a household name in the PH is a product of ABS survival show Star Circle Quest while Chanty is an ABS Starmagic talent.

As far as I know when DreamMaker started they say that the group (HORI7ON) will be a Global Group not KPop nor PPop maybe that's why they are adding Korean lyrics to the songs...maybe soon we'll gonna witness Tagalog, English and Korean mashed up in 1 song. Check their Ballad entitled Mama ❤ it.
I am of the same mind and agree with you on your last point. Since MLD is calling them an international group, Hori7on needs to use the most known languages (MOST especially TRADE Languages). They need to have some words and phrases in English (entertainment language because America is entertainment central), Korean (Hallyu wave), Spanish (lots of Spanish speakers around the globe), Arabic (lot's of Arabic speakers around the globe), Chinese and Japanese (business purposes), and Filipino (because of their ROOTS).
You should try to listen and react to their song "MAMA". There is a color coded lyrics with english translation. Youll definitely like it. ❤

Actually Lapillus’ Haeun did a song with Marcus and Jeromy called “How You Feel”, it’s pretty good. And Chanty was the MC for Hori7on’s showcase, she even called them “my bros” and called herself their “Ate” which means older sister in Tagalog (Filipino).
Also, sort of out of topic, some members from Hori7on also liked SB19 too and wanted to do a collaboration if ever (in an interview), and Chanty also met SB19 while promoting PPOP (also in an interview).

The Filipino audience have also been improving in voting. Back then, the good looking ones always wins but Filipinos also like voting for the underdogs. But as the years passed, I noticed that Filipinos are now voting for the really talented ones and the ones who show a great deal of improvement. I for once had a hard time with the top 16 of Dream Maker because they all do deserve to win the top 7 ranks. I did not vote but I had a hard time selecting who I wanted to win.😅

I think they used korean lyrics in their debut song to appeal to korean audience (besides filo/int fans). It seems to me like a "safe" market entrance to tailor to domestic market because debuting an all non korean group is risky in itself.
