Customer service is dead. I remember when front desk workers actually had to look at customers and smile and say “Hi, how can I help you?” If you don’t do that, the boss fires you. Different world now.
It’s actually interesting because if you stop and really think about it, there is always one employee in 7-Eleven and about five or six customers so if you put yourself in their shoes, you would do the exact same thing you wouldn’t feel that order if you had people there staring at you and waiting to be helpedthey need more employees. That’s the reason we have to wait for the order. We would do the same thing if we were working there just stop and think about it. It makes sense.
Yeah same world where people weren't being churned out like pigs in a mill. Not all people have a good reason to be rude but don't talk unless you been in there shoes
definition of unprofessional, zero customer service, arguing with employees in front of customers, didn't complete the order, makes the pickup driver finish his tasks as far as the order Girl bye🙄
This has been almost every 7-eleven order in my zone. They never know they have an order, then they sit around with no customers around before they even start gathering the items. I've never had one take less than 10 minutes in the store from the time I arrive.
Has anyone had a situation where it say 7 dollars for 3 miles but you find out it was 3 miles to the restaurant but the drop off location was 7 miles from the restaurant?
Sorry I missed the live earlier, but glad to learn about this video, even though the title sounded like it was quite the headache for you. Glad you're feeling better. Hope your son's surgery goes well and he doesn't suffer much discomfort. Take care. 👋
The moment a worker/waitress/mgr storm by me like that without any acknowledgement I'm out the door. I also have a low tolerance for mismanaged places and terrible wait times. A lot of the times if you report a long wait period, it can be unassigned without affecting your stats. I get that you already invested your time, gas, etc into the order, but this just doesnt pay enough to put up with that. In your case, $7 offer, i would have left and not looked back.
That was RUDE of the 711 employees , 2 of them to ignore you. I have been to 711 before. Actually only 2 locations accept delivery orders. When I have been in there, I just wait in line. Then tell the person I am here for pick up. Also when you went to Wing Stop were the drinks already done? Like were they already filled? The Wing Stop here, we the delivery drivers have to fill the drinks ourselves. In the Doordash app it doesn't tell you what kind of drink the customer got (Like coke or sprite). They employee has to tell us. Then they give us a cup with lid. There is not even no tape on the lids either like for closure for tampering. I wish they would have the employees do the drinks.
Hi SaraElizabeth nice to see you again. Yes, it's true, all the 7-11 employees are very rude, ill mannered. I can't imagine how people even go to such stores as 7-11 🤮
My 7-11 is always really decent. If it is just a few items I will tell the guy I'll go grab it. Because of that he usually has the stuff picked when I get there. Doesn't hurt that he dashes on the weekends! With Wingstop I always have to fill the drinks myself. Don't think this should ever be the case.
You quickly learn which places to accept or deny based on whether the food is ready . Buffalo Wild Wings was a oh hell no ! They didn’t care if you’re waiting 30 min .during pandemic drive thru only at fast food restaurants. Bad places that got an an automatic deny Wendy’s , Taco Bell, 5 guys and Popeyes. Good places always had the food ready McDonald’s had a special pick up spot for delivery drivers ! Bubba koos Also another good pickup spot was chillis they literally brought the food out to you car ! Applebees was usually good .
Did door dash 2020 May til Oct averaged $90-100 in 4 hrs at dinner time ! But just way too many miles on my car 15k miles plus gas plus frustration of food not being ready wear and tear on my car plus taxes at end of year not worth it
My 7-11’s are pretty good. I have gone in and they are overworked for sure. They are usually alone and have to run the register, DD and for mine make to-go food (pizza, wings, etc). He may not have known and also he looked like a teenager learning. The bag was definitely too small. Sometimes when I do Instacart I scan my own things so I can bag appropriately. We have one older one and brand new 7-11. The new one has the raise the roost inside which is a fried chicken place. They are usually slow, but nice. I do have places in my area i do not go. IHOP and Sonic are two I can think of.
This is normal customer service treatment with the new generation of workers. Happens to me all the time, I don't take it personal. You can tell the level of professionalism by those flip flops he's wearing
That was ridiculous. I probably would have done the same but if it took any longer, I would have jetted. But definitely don’t return unless the offer is really good.
Exactly the same thing that happened to me. I haven’t had a 7-Eleven pick up in at least two months, which is odd because I was doing them all the time but every time I walk in to pick up the order at 7-Eleven they did not even acknowledge me like they didn’t you They didn’t even say hello. They were busy with other customers. They did not even start on it yet. I had to wait a while before they filled it then after the lines got down then they grabbed that little scanner and started walking around gathering everything, same thing happened to me, Sarah it’s very common with 7-Eleven being that we both live in Florida. Maybe it’s just our state I’m not sure. It’s probably like that everywhere I’m thinking.
I've had worst orders. Had to wait 1 hour in the parking lot for sushi when i went in to pickup they said someone took it. When i called support and told them i got deactivated for a month.
Last year I had some very bad experiences at a couple different 7-11 stores. They were understaffed, and expected me to wait until they served everyone else before they'd even pick the order. I unassigned a few times. Now I don't know what changed, but since earlier this year, I haven''t had any problems at any of the 7-11 stores. They all have the order ready and waiting for me, and the workers are suddenly very friendly to me. In the rare times they're busy, they'll stop everything else to pull the order, and apologize for not having it ready. They went from being the worst to the best. What's also interesting is some of them I go to frequently, and others I've never been to, even delivering orders from further away stores to people within walking distance. I think the franchisees might have gotten told they have the option to get the orders, or not get them, but if they choose to participate, they have to prioritize us.
I had a 7-11 pick up and they yelled at me because I didn’t get in line you know the thing every single gig app tells you not to do. I don’t get in line not to cut In front of people I do it so I’m out of the way sense all they have to do is take 2 seconds and hand me the order. Surprise surprise they some how lost the order and had to re-shop for the order but they were 100% sure they had already shopped for it.
That would be my last delivery from the restaurant I have multiple restaurants that I no longer serve because of chaos , lack of communication which is your case , and down right time wasting So I no longer waste my time with clown merchants regardless of pay unless it’s an offer so dumb great that I can’t pass on I’ll suck it up and deal with it but for the average order I’ll just hit that decline button
I do Spark only at a zone with one walmart and make 100 to 160 in 4 hours. Fewer miles and more pay. No scheduling and no 100 calls a month to be top dasher. Wake up and go when I want.
I've been noticing in the past couple of months. Say if you make between 40-80$ a day or every other day. That's what they're gonna set ur goal for that day. Say u work 4-6 hours you set yourself up for. Thats what ur gonna make that day. Try it.
Dd is getting cheeper with there shop and pay something like 11 dollars 5 miles 87 items thats a decline all day long .i took an interesting offer today from dd .it was 38 dollars 20 miles for jets pizza 🍕. I went for it and it wasnt a joke got paid this 38 dollars.if someone wants to do this again ,i am game
You don't understand. No offence your not a man. That dude was clearly being hollard at by his spicy senorita and was clearly distressed by it. He mentioned he didn't have a phone and texts were mentioned so I'm assuming he is supposedly texting some one else on the side. And they way he ignored you and looked down as walking by you, showed he didn't want to sleep on the couch or in doghouse by making it worse.
Anytime you have a black worker filling a door dash order at a convenience store orrestaurant your wait time goes up at least three to four times and they love waiting till you get there to ask him about the order cuz they don't even look at their tablets they're too busy talking about nonsense and playing around not working

Kinda like how leaving shopping carts in the parking lot was very frowned upon. Now pretty much everybody does it.
🟥

The first 2 mins of the video, 0 communication from the employee, and order isn't ready. I'd leave.
Take a LOOK AT the GUY working at the store ....LOLOL Enough said !!

7 Eleven is the worst. The open bag, not sealed. Horrible idea. They shorted my customer an item one time too. I won't go there again.
No public restrooms too
No way I would have made that slushie. I'm not carrying any health permits to serve foods for others.

must have a food handler certificate to make drinks and food or only employees are allowed under food laws.
What!? Wing stop didn’t make you confirm your order?
Most of the time they do but I think she was new.
I haven't had a Slurpee in well over 25 years
Didn't they used to call them Icee's
Can you do a video showing how many orders you decline before you get a good one ?
Also you just sit in one spot and wait for orders ?
I stopped going to 7-11 a couple years ago . In the Dallas area most of them don’t speak English and they don’t like Americans .
I have a DoorDash lmaoooooo customer service is at its worst
I’m sorry if I missed it from your previous content, but do you use one phone when multi apping?
Yes just 1
Oh goodness, how infuriating!
That's a typical employee nowadays useless and they make up for it by being rude
Your lucky I average 13hr in my city that why I only do it a few times a month
I would just unasssign myself
I might have told the customer - just FYI of how they operate. You may want to spend your dollars elsewhere.
yeah i would of reported that to doordash and yeah i would avaoid all future oders from there again
I refuse to pick up at 7-11 they’re the worst.
The places that make you fill the drink are a joke. You don't work for them, they are supposed to fill it up for you.
Cancel order as not ready
