How to pair a smartphone to a Ford or Lincoln via SYNC system

Don explains how to pair your smartphone to any Ford or Lincoln product via the SYNC system.
Step 1: Go to Settings, then Bluetooth on your smartphone (make sure Bluetooth is on).
Step 2: On the car's touchscreen, click "Connect to Phone."
Step 3: Click "Add Device."
Step 4: Wait for phone and car to pair. When complete, the phone will show a connectable device listed as "SYNC." Click to select.
Step 5: Verify that the PIN number on both screens (phone and car) are the same.
Step 6: Select "Pair" on your smartphone.
Then, you can choose "Set as Favorite Phone," verify voicemail number and download the contacts from your phone book.
Click apply to save selections.
Don also notes that any music on the paired smartphone can be played through the car's speakers via the USB port.
