But the cutscenes and the boss fights themselves do give them plenty of character. Water lily- Vain and self-absorbed, prefers to let others do her fighting while she puts in the minimum efforts. Coral-physically the weakest and uses technology to give her an advantage in a fight, but she is also a nerdy dork and excitable to the point of being oblivious. Tubeworm- The darkest most predatory of the bunch that also has a sense of self-importance and haughtiness in her behavior, her relationship with the worms is that of a master and their pets. Angler fish- Creepy and cooky, she doesn't talk or interact with others much but she does enjoy scaring people by silently creeping on them and her third-eye is supportive of her desire to stay distant from others. Octo- The most aloof and spoiled of the sirens who prefers her isolation and lets the squid monsters under her control to do her fighting for her, but she is also highly intelligent and enjoys surrounding herself with easy technology.
It would’ve been a little funny every time you had to defeat Risky, it would have a different title card every fight. Like, Defeat Risky Boots, Defeat Risky Boots Twice, Defeat Risky Boots Again, Defeat Risky Boots Once More, Defeat Risky Boots Once Again
Even better would be if the title cards started getting over how many times you have to defeat her, like "...Defeat Risky Boots for The 5th Time", "Riskboots, again??", "Seriously now?", "This is getting old"

I'm surprised they resisted the classic design with the angler fish siren of making the womanly bit the "lure" to a giant monter. Guess that wouldn't have been fanservicy/cute enough. (Also maybe abit too close to tubeworm siren) Octo Siren uh ? I guess we finaly knowwhere Octo baron get all hid kids from :p ..Except the woman looks more like a squid Siren what with the triangular bit at the end of the tentacles. Spoopy Elder Waifu with third eye on antenna IS definitely the spookiest while its not coolest but also fighting Granny Spooky Siren works good in idea, shame its not executed very well in boss fight but its not the worst either.
Risky Boots has several sets of Risky Boots because she's the *_QUEEN OF THE SEVEN SEAS!_* And a queen needs a lot of backups. It's also no fun if the boots gives zero thrill on those sunny calm-wave days.

It depends. Playing the game normally is rather easy, and doesn't serve a challenge - the entire combat aspect is rather boring. In this particular title there's a huge focus on the metroidvania aspect - which is IMO why you should consider getting this game if you are a fan of that type of games. Don't expect anything innovative or particularly well-designed though. It's your standard metroidvania.

I also wouldn't call Pirate's Curse and Half-Genie Hero a metroidvania (especially HGH -- it doesn't even allow you to backtrack to previous area if you already crossed the line). Pirate's Curse is probably the best out of three. I don't recommend the original title on GBC or Risky's Revenge. Oh, and I haven't even mentioned fan-service. There's a lot of it. Like, more than even the most fan-servicy anime.
tried my best to no damage that final boss and avoid that most broken teleport move I've ever seen in any platformers bosses fight, but still failed, I totally agree, that final boss is just too boring as hell, anyways, what a SKILL to able to make it no damage :)

Read more About my opninion how I see Flaws in bosses of this game and how should be improved to be better. Ye True White Risky Boots has same Route As Boom Boom from Mario she at least gets more difficult although pretty slow for my taste As I would shorten it into Risky 1st 3rd And 5th fight and remove second and fourth As Difficulty spikes on Risky would be Good (in this case definitely than having this kinda bit more ln smooth side. she IS interrupted by Siren boss fight. My complains on respective bosses: RiskyBoots: 1, 3, 5 pretty much show some significant improvements and 2 and 4 i would scrap altogether as they dont show changes too much sadly, hence why i say dif spike would be ok if thats reccuring boss. Coral Siren: i found this siren kinda underwhelming compared to very first True waifu boss. As she IS more bullet spam rather than expose herself to damage more often in shorter times to make this battle not do drawn out. Angler Fish Siren: Thé bouncing eyeball attack IS kinda too Long to be effective and wastes time not to mention it doesnt change archs and the eyeball attack when in background should be executed in quicker pace As you have above 2-3 seconds to react with no real need for difficult dodge. IT either involves crouching or jumping nothing difficult. Energy Collectors: Very similar to risky boots but i would up the difficulty (scrab the original 1st tier and replaced it with 2)similar in this order 2-3-3-4 (tier respectively what i mean) if number of them required IS 4 Octo Siren: I found when i watched this boss to be drawn out as hitting brains in order in ,,trial and error & guess,, fashion when having 6 objects that arent shown in which order they spawned kinda makes this old really Quickly but its not case when using the spell. Doing order indication would be nice, so that the hitting boss would be more satisfying but at cost of being exposed for shorter time. And boss should be more active too as i found it Very vulnerable to stun or something. Empress Siren: i found kinda drawn out as she is big spammer and doesnt change much which Shantae series i found has problem with bosses that seems to take forever to beat with no real showing of progress being made either in difficulty or in signs of boss getting closer to be beaten. Ultra Empress Siren: Found to take kinda too long to finish it as she is not complex in attacks so downing the HP of Red orbs should be option given the fact how many are there in first place but as result to this slightly reduce waiting time and give signs its closer to fire. And showing it cracks as its getting damaged This is Just my opninion if you ask je given the fact i like to make Hard but fair bosses (even if they are not original) but making them engaging and filling certain time to be beaten either its around 1 minute for mini bosses. 2 minutes on bosses with single phase and 3 minutes if boss has 2 phases. If final boss,high rank boss has multiple phases it can take up to 5 minutes if it stays engaging and not drawn out but it should never exceed 5 minute mark on average. So in this Category Empress Siren should have combined time of it if given fact that Ultra Empress is 2nd phase and reach with viable 2 minutes and 3 minutes in phase 2 during entire boss fight with her.

Despite being one of the titular 'Seven Sirens' she is never faced as a boss, so she's skipped right over and the Empress is faced as the last challenge. You can actually see her in the ending of the video, right at 44:32

Ye True White Risky Boots has same Route As Boom Boom from Mario she at least gets more difficult although pretty slow for my taste
As I would shorten it into Risky 1st 3rd And 5th fight and remove second and fourth As Difficulty spikes on Risky would be Good (in this case definitely than having this kinda bit more ln smooth side. she IS interrupted by Siren boss fight.
My complains on respective bosses:
RiskyBoots: 1, 3, 5 pretty much show some significant improvements and 2 and 4 i would scrap altogether as they dont show changes too much sadly, hence why i say dif spike would be ok if thats reccuring boss.
Coral Siren: i found this siren kinda underwhelming compared to very first True waifu boss. As she IS more bullet spam rather than expose herself to damage more often in shorter times to make this battle not do drawn out.
Angler Fish Siren: Thé bouncing eyeball attack IS kinda too Long to be effective and wastes time not to mention it doesnt change archs and the eyeball attack when in background should be executed in quicker pace As you have above 2-3 seconds to react with no real need for difficult dodge. IT either involves crouching or jumping nothing difficult.
Energy Collectors: Very similar to risky boots but i would up the difficulty (scrab the original 1st tier and replaced it with 2)similar in this order 2-3-3-4 (tier respectively what i mean) if number of them required IS 4
Octo Siren: I found when i watched this boss to be drawn out as hitting brains in order in ,,trial and error & guess,, fashion when having 6 objects that arent shown in which order they spawned kinda makes this old really Quickly but its not case when using the spell. Doing order indication would be nice, so that the hitting boss would be more satisfying but at cost of being exposed for shorter time. And boss should be more active too as i found it Very vulnerable to stun or something.
Empress Siren: i found kinda drawn out as she is big spammer and doesnt change much which Shantae series i found has problem with bosses that seems to take forever to beat with no real showing of progress being made either in difficulty or in signs of boss getting closer to be beaten.
Ultra Empress Siren: Found to take kinda too long to finish it as she is not complex in attacks so downing the HP of Red orbs should be option given the fact how many are there in first place but as result to this slightly reduce waiting time and give signs its closer to fire. And showing it cracks as its getting damaged
This is Just my opninion if you ask je given the fact i like to make Hard but fair bosses (even if they are not original) but making them engaging and filling certain time to be beaten either its around 1 minute for mini bosses. 2 minutes on bosses with single phase and 3 minutes if boss has 2 phases. If final boss,high rank boss has multiple phases it can take up to 5 minutes if it stays engaging and not drawn out but it should never exceed 5 minute mark on average.
So in this Category Empress Siren should have combined time of it if given fact that Ultra Empress is 2nd phase and reach with viable 2 minutes and 3 minutes in phase 2 during entire boss fight with her.

But Bosses here i found mostly drawn out or underwhelming when i consider First Second Risky Boots But boy Risky Boots 3 And 5 are definitely one of the challenging and fun bosses heck i even didnt Felt it took too long than i found even this was kinda strict Min 1 minute to 2 minutes of fighting her

@@angelbaanyajones5288 Old comment and you've likely figured this out by now, but for anyone who doesn't know, one of the sirens in the story is this lobster girl who is the sole good one and opts to help Shantae (she was the one who kidnapped the other girls at the start of the game though, but had second thoughts). Despite being one of the titular 'Seven Sirens' she is never faced as a boss, so she's skipped right over and the Empress is faced as the last challenge. You can actually see her in the ending of the video, right at 44:32
