Ok, but most games on this list look like late nineties games, only that they're now in VR, but it hardly changes the gameplay. But that's mainly because the developers have to make it compatible with minor race Meta stuff.
@@EaglePicking well there are some aspects of gameplay that do change when you incorporate VR like for example separating where the gun is aiming from your viewpoint
ITR is groundbreakingly good. Theres other games with shooting and looting, but the loop of gameplay in it makes it such a satisfying experience to just go wander and get lost in for as long as you'd like.
I wasn't expecting to see the last clock winder on this, let alone it being your number 1 choice, but I am so glad you did. It is one of the best games I have ever played, it's one of the most unique uses of vr controls and you mentioning it will give the game and devs new players for whatever they make next.
I personally think of "Into the Radius" as a survival horror game, just due to how good the atmosphere is. It's not the cheap horror that most people think of now, it's the kind that keeps you on edge, and if you ever start to relax, it will be sure to give you a bit of a scare to put you right back! I'm honestly extremely glad to see it on this list, cause it's definitely in my top 5 favorite VR games! One of the main mechanics that sets it apart from other games, is that the environment resets at certain intervals. This allows you to memorize where certain items are, and return to them at every reset. However, safe houses (which are marked on your map) don't get reset, allowing you to safely store items there for later.

Once they add dedicated servers, being able to learn techniques like a martial arts and use that for gameplay is going to change the scene.
Into the Radius is the best, most complete VR experience ive had yet. I love boneworks, blade, alyx, etc, but ive never had an experience as complete and immersive as ITR
As someone who has been heavily into vr for 2 years now I haven’t seen half of the games on this list which was really refreshing. All of the games looked really good and I’m definitely considering getting some of these. Amazing job making something unique
I first got Into the radius about a month ago. After over 35 hours of gameplay and collecting every gun, I am so glad to see it on this list. As I played through it, I thought "why have I not heard more about this?" I know I always gatekeep my favorite games, but I want everyone to see and experience how far such a game can go with enough development and time. Absolutely amazing.
One of the best immersive VR games ever. Also makes you actually feel like YOURE SURVIVING! Also love your room stays the way you leave it and you got to know your tactics especially under pressure and where things are on your body/bag. Something you can’t really experience on flatscreen or sometimes even other VR games, but Into the Radius is top tier for me despite me not liking “horror” too much 😂 the adrenaline and anxiety GETS ME MAN!
Do you have advice as to how to get past alot of enemies? I play on vive and I cannot manage to solve certain missions. Not sure if the issues arises because of my headset. In some missions there are so many enemies coming at once and I can't reliably recharge the gun/switch the gun without dying. The game is very interesting but I got frustrated and quit becaue of these issues. I end up just saving/reloading until I find a way through the mess lol.
Please talk about Echo VR plans of shutting down. It's a tragic loss to do many people, not only as a game but a loss of community, friends, family, and something truly special. Echo was a place so many people had fun and met people and Meta/RAD has devistated many with this announcement.
renegade was the shit back in the day, you can still play it and it have a pretty active community behind. and renegade x firestorm is soon to release!
I was so happy to see Into the Radius in this list Ive put over 100 hours into the game and its just an amazing survival game. There are some buggy features like the grenades and some of the enemies just running through walls, but all that aside its a great game i love how much you have to do on your own like switching mags and filling them cleaning guns and mags. There is just so much immersion and its amazing, the creators update pretty frequently and i can see this game just being so good with a little bit more tweaks.
The really sad thing is that the only somewhat game breaking bug happens at the very beginning of your playthrough. The rift for Metastasis 1, the very first mission the game gives you, has a tendency to just not spawn, and the reason I say it's really sad is because I can only imagine how many new players were just confusedly walking around the train station not knowing what to do, and then saying "screw it" and dropping the game. I was almost one of those, but I'm glad I stuck it through because that frustrating bug is nowhere near representative of the actual game experience
For me VR this year was Into the Rift. I've played it through 6 times, and each time it surprised me, and by the time I had played with all the guns, they added more. I bought the Quest Pro controllers JUST so I could finally hold scopes close enough to my face to use them. Best 400 i ever spent.
My favorite game on quest (and steam) is Warplanes: WW2 Battles over pacific. It's the perfect mix of arcade and flight sim. (and it's got multiplayer)

I love The Last Clockwinder. You can just do so much within the game. I thought I wouldn't like it at all but it is just so good and now I have sunk so many hours into it.
Not sure if it deserves to be on this list really, but I am really enjoying VR dungeon Knight. Very generic, but there is something magical about being the person that is going through the dungeon, dodging arrows, killing monsters, and looking for the next bit of healing as you try to make it to the end.

very happy to see ITR in there. I also refunded it the first time because I also struggle with horror games, but I had gone over the allotted time. I reinstalled after 2.0 came out and I am just SOOO GLAD I DID. this game had me thinking about it everywhere. once you get a hang of the basic mechanics, it is just such a time sink. I have become so addicted to this game that it eventually just transitioned into house cleaning simulator, because I have honestly started to enjoy organizing all of my gear and making my place presentable more than actually being in the game. The dopamine rush of clearing an area and scavenging the loot is great, and the deep breath you let out after you finally haul your ass back to the base is remarkable. I actually just hit 200 hours on the game today and it is still exhilarating. I cannot gush about this game enough.

Edit: While ilysia won't have custom player avatars they're still going to be pretty close! I currently hate all the prior years of VR but 2023 is going to be an awesome year for VR!
Very cool list! def gonna check out rumble, ITR and clock game! also this list has shown me that a lot of VR games (especially standalone) don't have the best spectator camera. hopefully LIV has something in the works for standalone VR
I'd just like to mention the increasingly growing modding community for VR. There's so many great experiences converted to VR by so many talented modders like Dr. Beef, The Source VR team, Resident Evil VR ports, etc. It's definitely worth checking them out.
I played Into the Radius twice and it made me shit my pants and havent touched it since. Im comming over from Stalker and because they are both such atmoshperic games I find it frankly terrifying. Imagine getting jumped by a bloodsucker in VR as a child is asking if "breakfast is ready", as you do. (I still really want to play it but is scares the hell out of me.)
Thanks for this doing these lists, this one especially, I recently grabbed Into The Radius and wasn't surprised to see that up here, but I'd never heard of The Last Clockwinder and that looks like an absolute gem of a game, thank you!
Really happy to see something that isn't a gun/sword action game in the top spot. I really feel that the future of VR is gonna be a lot more chill and surreal meaningful experiences and I can't wait to see more of it.
Thank you for shouting out Rumble. I LOVE that game and I’m really hoping they get some love and support to really flesh it out. There is nothing more satisfying in VR than the feeling you get when you finally understand how to do a move and get it consistently.
For me a little game called "Garden of the Sea" is one of my fav VR titles at the moment. It's a relaxing, cute, casual game to just sink your time in.
You know this makes me think that a potential good idea for future videos could be to do a little showcase of a niche vr game at the end or so. I would've never seen these games if it weren't for this video in particular and there are definitely some really good looking games.
To anyone interested, into the radious has been confirmed to be getting an official modkit at some point in the coming months. Soon we will be getting proper stalker overhaul mods
Guardians: Frontline? You had me at C&C: Renegade. Renegade was THE shooter I played as a kid and teen. Somehow lost one of the installation CDs years ago. (Still haven't found it.) And if you have easy to use level editing? There's gunna be a lot of content for it. And yeah, I almost never encounter anyone who's played C&C Renegade. I also played some original Star Wars: Battlefront, but I got to it kinda late, weren't many people online. My internet was terrible at the time, too. Mostly played offline, against the AI.
50 seconds in and I'm so thankful that you thought about the target audience for your video and didn't waste our time on the original necessaries 😅. I'm confident I will find something worth playing, thanks man 😊
Omg YES Last Clockwinder is true Native Medium goodness, massive inspiration for me as an XR Interaction designer and just such a delightfully fun time.

Rumble is amazing, have been playing since a few days after Habie147 uploaded a video on it
same honestly. after an hour or two i was already mountain rank
I cant believe I haven't seen yupitergrad on any of these lists
Into the radius is definitely the most immersed I've ever been in VR, I absolutely recommend it!
If you haven't played Risk of Rain 2 with the vr mod, you have to, its truly incredible. Feels like the game was built for vr.
Thanks for this doing these lists, this one especially, I recently grabbed Into The Radius and wasn't surprised to see that up here, but I'd never heard of The Last Clockwinder and that looks like an absolute gem of a game, thank you!
I've been unsure about Guardians, but the comparison to C&C Renegade sold me; I loved that game!
"Into the Radius is not a Horror game"
If that doesn't make your horror game list, I'm not sure what would! It's SO GOOD though!
Really happy to see something that isn't a gun/sword action game in the top spot. I really feel that the future of VR is gonna be a lot more chill and surreal meaningful experiences and I can't wait to see more of it.
Speaking of none-combat focussed games, I kinda missed Wanderer.
Thank you for shouting out Rumble. I LOVE that game and I’m really hoping they get some love and support to really flesh it out. There is nothing more satisfying in VR than the feeling you get when you finally understand how to do a move and get it consistently.
I just discovered the Moss books 1 and 2. Insanely excellent 3rd person puzzle platform
Absolute bangers! Also make sure to check out Ven VR Adventure and Lucky's Tale.
For me a little game called "Garden of the Sea" is one of my fav VR titles at the moment. It's a relaxing, cute, casual game to just sink your time in.
COMPOUND was the first game that made me really love VR, knew as soon as I jumped into the demo I was buying it
You know this makes me think that a potential good idea for future videos could be to do a little showcase of a niche vr game at the end or so. I would've never seen these games if it weren't for this video in particular and there are definitely some really good looking games.
To anyone interested, into the radious has been confirmed to be getting an official modkit at some point in the coming months. Soon we will be getting proper stalker overhaul mods
I usually hate puzzle games but shores of loci is amazing, and when your baked or shroomin' its soooo much fun!!
I'm confident I will find something worth playing, thanks man 😊
Glad to see Compound finally getting love
Omg YES Last Clockwinder is true Native Medium goodness, massive inspiration for me as an XR Interaction designer and just such a delightfully fun time.
One of my biggest regrets in vr is watching someone play the last clock winder before it landed on oculus 😭
Wolf “it’s not a horror game.”
Me “I beg to fking differ m8”
I'm glad that every single one of these games is also on PC. Hopefully we start edging toward more equilibrium there as far as multi-platform releases.
I can’t comment on the other video but here it goes, I’m so happy to have you thrill to be our community leader , you Call Facebook out all the time and they’re anti-consumer practices we really appreciate this and we’re definitely Sharing
Seriously amazing list, I'm a big vr fan and watch your channel often. Yet i had never seen any games on this list and they all intrigued me.
You should do more game reviews. Vail VR? Moss II? Pros & Cons? First impressions?

Ill definitely try some of these out thank you thrill seeker i love all your content i needed a sighn to get back into vr
So glad you included rumble i love that game. Edit: omg the last clockwinder too thank you kind sir
OMFG YES C&C Renegade! I loved that game! Was like a command and conquer battlefield game. I thought I was the only one who played it lol.
Red Matter 2 was amazing last year. I really enjoyed playing it and I hear it looks amazing on Quest 2 standalone.
5:30 I nearly lost my crap when I heard you lead up to mentioning C&C Renegade! When you said "I have a feeling most of you won't get this reference." I just had this feeling that that's what you would mention. :))
You know what needs a VR rendition ? "Black and white" Top down, play a god in first person with your hands !!
VTOL VR is defiantly up there for me. It has to be one of my favorite games ever.
that black bar on the right side during vr gameplay is amazing for my ocd
Oh my god Number 1 is seriously that mechanic from Ratchet & Clank: a Crack in Time, thats so sick
i just cheered my ass off when into the radius showed up, it's such a good game
Rumble is, by far, my favorite new VR game. It's THE best fighting game in VR period. They really nailed the combat and it works so good for VR. The game is fun, technical, and a serious workout.
An add for Opera GX while I am watching this video while using, You guessed it. Opera GX
The Last Clockwinder is very much worth to be first place. I agree so much.
