The magic word is LISTEN. You may listen to anything which your radio can recceive. The transmission is available for all to hear. VHF 121.5 and UHF 243.0 are avaition EMERGENCY frequencies. I had to monitor HF for Skyking messages back in the day flying Air Force missions.
