I always imagined that it was Reflux screaming in pain from gaining all that “unimaginable power”. Considering how he looked earlier, he got pretty messed up by that “blessing”.
What makes this level so great (and my favourite I think) is its set-up. A vast place built by the Knaaren to honor the Leptys god, and abandonned since. But it gives you the unnverving feeling there are beasts from ancient times still crawling out there and waiting for a moment to attack you. The feeling of century-old abandonment and loneliness is creepy and stressful, not to mention the feeling that your adventure is getting to an end and everything you have leartn so far will have to be put to use if you want to survive.
I felt like hot lava was going to fill the stattue room and the room with the pistons, and the room with the bridge after a lava room xd, and the room with the trio who spawns hood fists afterwards with the teensie cage in the cage y gota rocketblast, point being, the part after 3:11 made me feel that way, everything before and after this part of the ost is a buildup or a mirror winderland kinda thing, sigh.... "see you in rayman 4"... what a mean lie from ubisoft... rayman 4 wouldve been amayzing
@@AdamMerlin his second phace when he invoked the leptys was what made me flee-quit for over a month, my dog having died that day combined with how creepy he looked and his sounds were, was too much for a back then child me, even now he sends shivers down my spine, reflux the knaaren? Nope but a good bossfight, first form avatar of the leptys? Epic!, second form? NONONO NOOO!, thirdform, why isnt that scary shitbag dead! Atleast he doesnt scare me to death anymore, form 4? Oke he isnt scary at all
@@ashyoshicharizard3949 well I think if we consider last three Rayman 2 levels as "final world", that one is better designed. I love tower of leptys though. Btw Rayman origins final world slam dunks both of them lol
Just wanted to say thanks for all these excellent videos! I love the music and ambience of this game and it's nice to have someone else put each world's audio progression in a conveninet package.
18:57 is probably my favorite dnb track in the whole game I loved in the flying sections how animated Rayman and Globox were, like they'd cover their eyes or look back and forth at each other. Small details like this get lost in modern games
Now imagine if Reflux stayed the same visually but had tweaks to accentuate how horrifying he looks and the Hoodlums within the tower were altered to be horrid looking. Now adding actual horrors and tormented souls like the background music audio implies that dont attack you but roam around and we have a recipe for a T for Teen rating

I always thought those moans were from Globox. Just sounds like him, I dunno lol

This level used to scare me as a kid, the music made me think something big was coming.
That's because something big WAS coming. But yeah I felt the same way, like I was being chased or something
Technically yeah. Reflux gave me nightmares. In his non mutated form AND mutated form too..

This ambience of tension was greatly built, still hoping to see another 3d rayman game with this kind of production
So true
yea i wish it wasn't such a black canary license within ubisoft :C
Sadly, that's not gonna happen. Murfy lied to us. :(
The transition from 3:00 onwards and then 4:44 is so amazing! Love working to the sound of this o.o" So f'in good!
A great final world to end a great final game.
Although an extremely easy and linear one.
@@pawlogates still the best final world in the series

@@ashyoshicharizard3949 I havent played that one :/ I really should have already, thx for reminding me
Thank you so much for these videos! Rayman 3 had such great sound design.
The final level really had a eerie feeling to it with that music.

More like Tower of the DnB :D
