This is a great video. I am an RN and have a sub clinical schizoid personality. Ppl must understand that unless you are nursing on the psych ward you are UNLIKELY to notice that the patient you are caring for is schizoid. Heck, I didn't know that in schizoid until a few months ago. The schizoids that you see are likely being seen for other diagnosed conditions as you are very unlikely to be hospitalized for schizoid related reasons. In fact, the majority of ppl with a diagnosis of SzPD were likely diagnosed because of a comorbid diagnosis.
Prof. D, I just wanted to let you know that I am very grateful for your videos!! I took the Hesi on mental health and I only missed ONE question!! You are awesome and I hope you continue to people like me!! Thank you!
Good morning Prof D, I came across your videos and started watching them when I was preparing for my first year of nursing school two years ago; that’s one of my greatest discoveries. You help me through school and I am here to thank you bcos I took the nclex on Monday and passed with 75 questions. Your teaching and videos were very helpful. May the good lord continue to bless you. I have been sharing your videos with my friends 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Hey, if you're a student or a researcher and you need help writing or editing your tasks, or even looking for sources, email me. I'm always happy to help.
It's great to see that you are spreading awareness of schizoid and schizotypal disorder, these are psychological conditions that a lot of people don't know about and IMO more people need to know about and understand, as we often get overlooked/unidentified within the system.

What if a patient believes that if she speaks something it will happen or come to pass. She thinks that she can speak things into existence, which is part of her religious belief? Does that sound like schizotypal?
Definitely not schizoid,. Schizoids are not psychotic. If one is pschotic it means the schizoid has comorbid disorders. And paranoia is not a part of schizoid either. I occassionsly browse schizoid forums, we’re serious realists and extreme loners. I purposefully haven’t had contact with people for many years and do not crave friendships or relationships.

Possibly but more context cues needed 😅
